just thought i would make everyone jealous with pics of my awesome gift. ghost lion really outdid himself. i still suspect he's implanted some sort of device into my mind that tells him what would be the perfect gift. i received a ton of muscles, ultimate muscles, battle beasts, starriors with comics and mini boglins. and to top it all off he personally drew me a christmas card. best gifts ever!

here's a shot of everything.

Got mine in the mail -- it was from Liz Sherman and was 3 key pieces of the U.S.S. Flagg (7 foot G.I. Joe Aircraft Carrier) that she noticed I was missing when she looked at my collection pictures. Hard to believe that one of the most thoughtful gifts I've ever received was from a total stranger.

Thanks so much Liz Sherman for the great gift!!!!

Now that is frickin' AWESOME!!! I know how hard it is to find those pieces to complete that HUGE playset and for her to notice that in your collection photos, then find them and buy them is a SUPER thoughtful gift! Way to go girl!

Hi everyone,

Sorry I'm a bit late in posting here,
I have been sick prior to christmas,
with some form of abdominal influenza, but the most severe I have ever had!
heavy tummy-aches, vomiting, diarrhea and a splitting headache to boot...
'better' just in time for the evening at my parents place,
however still not well enough to actually eat a cooked meal.

I got my gift from Imp a couple of days before christmas,
it was a very cool LRG T shirt!

I had thought about buying one myself before,
but just didn't want to cough up the shipping for it...
Guess I didn't have to ;)
Thanks Imp, I would love to post a pic of me wearing it,
unfortunately my new computer crashed and I'm back to using the old one :(

Anyways, thanks again and to all a great newyear!!

DK.

How many people on this forum are or were sick during Christmas? Raise your hands high!

*Raises both arms*

I'm so glad you got the T-shirt. You seem to be an athletic guy and I figured you could use it AND advertise our favorite toys. ;-)

Hope you feel better soon.

Impressive...very Impressive

For Liz Sherman to notice what you were missing based upon your collection images is a feat in itself. To locate the missing parts and ship them to you as a present is extremely thoughtful.

Props to both of you (your appreciation and Liz Shermans effort).

Yeah, I'm still in disbelief. The Flagg itself is 7 feet long with hundreds of small parts. For her to be able to spot missing parts from the picture I posted is quite amazing! Tracking those parts down is no easy feat either -- Flagg parts are one of the hardest things to find for G.I. Joe collectors.

Cheers to Liz Sherman for the great gift! I'll be posting pictures of the Flagg again soon.

Here is the master list for this year. If you did not receive your gift, you will know who to contact.

Sender Got Recipient
Adamantiumwulf got THEGODBEAST
cassel87 got Scumdogg
dankingery got Adamantiumwulf
Donkeykid77 got Liz Sherman
Galthisan got TOPHER
Ghost Lion got dankingery
Imp got Donkeykid77
koppenschevelle got Ghost Lion
lhssenior got Imp
Liz Sherman got righteousman
Malosavich got lhssenior
musclemenkids got Galthisan
Reccoom Kaboom got koppenschevelle
righteousman got Reccoom Kaboom
Scumdogg got cassel87
THEGODBEAST got musclemenkids
TOPHER got Malosavich

I hate to do this, but....

I noticed that adamantiumwulf is late again on his gift. Sadly this has been the case more often than not (almost every year if I remember correctly). That being said, adamantiumwulf is no longer eligible to participate in the Secret Santa annual.
Sorry bro, but you can't seem to get your gift out anywhere near on time, so there is really no reason to penalize your recipient each year by allowing you to participate anymore.

Having said that, in the interest of keeping things flowing smoothly, if your (any other participant's) gift is over a week late for 3 different years, you will also be ineligible to participate.

And I don't think this has ever happened, but if you stiff someone, you are out period, and I would probably ban you from the board. Late is bad, but not sending one altogether, that is just effed up.

Who was the person that should have sent a gift to Ghostlion last year?
If I remember correct, he got stiffed, right?

Not trying to get anyone banned here, but just curious who it was... :starwars:

Well I must say the delay on receiving my gift was completely my fault as I have been out of town for nearly 3 weeks and just arrived back in on Monday and have been so swamped caching up at the office I have barely seen my house.

Sure enough, my secret santa gift from Nocturin was awiting me in the foyer as it has been since long before Xmas and WOW are these little guys amazing!

Posted Image

They're designer figures from a maker I'm unfamiliar with but the detail and overall look is incredible! I also have a habit of collecting and painting Warhammer figures (though in over a decade I've yet to play a game) and these guys fit in PERFECTLY in scale. In fact I'm thinking about picking up some more and having an army of the Crayboth.

I love being introduced to new toylines, thanks a ton dude, and sorry for the huge delay in posting. I can't wait to see this guy's store and what else is available!
