I got a HUGE box in the mail today I had no idea what it was.. until I saw my Secret Santa's name!
Tofudrifter 81 had previously contacted me out of courtesy since I live in Aus and the shipping takes a while to get here; he let me know that it was on its way and should arrive on Xmas eve, and not to worry.
So, upon opening the box I learned that Santa had packed a whole toy-store into the box! Which I will henceforth affectionately refer to as the box that kept on giving. :D the whole time I was openong it I was like, 'Holy Shit..! Thats awesome. :)' haha. Here are some pics.

Wow dude, thank you heaps for spoiling me rotten, and including so much awesomeness!!
Very kind of you mate, and you've made my Xmas a whole lot more fun this year!

Wow that's indeed a whole toyshop in a box, CRAZY!!!!

2 more nights for those who did have the patience (;)) to wait with opening their gift untill Christmas :)

But that doesn't mean the wait is easy since my package is standing at a central position in front of my displays so I can ignore it and the curiousity (not the one they shot into space by NASA) continues........ still 2 more nights though.

Metalmonkey, that's amazing. What a great gift! There's a lot of great stuff there. I love the green rangers dragon zord in there too! I had that guy as a kid and loved it. Always reminded me of mecha godzilla. What a great haul. And that shipping is crazy. I know sometimes it can be tough with secret santa members all over the world. I have had a couple giftees that were outside the US. But I love the fact that it doesn't seem to deter any of us in the spirit of giving.

Looking forward to more pictures to see what everyone else got.

Whomever is my Secret Santa from Montana, THANK YOU!  So ironic I mention how cool it was for Metalmonkey to get a S.L.U.G. Zombie display, and then I get one too.  Also received some neat Transformers and glow in the dark and grow zombies.  Awesome.  Thanks!

The wait is finally over, Merry Christmas to all!

After the Christmas brunch I rushed myself to the big box that had remained unopened since I received it last week but now it was time to open it and guess what happened........... There was a box in a box and packaging material and even more packaging material and in the end I ended up with a small package (the size of a BB probably) and an envelope. I had to open the Top Secret marked envelope first according to the added instructions and what happened than was a complete shock!?!?!

Instead of receiving a nice Christmas wish or a happy message all the alarm bells went of and there was an instant chaos within the PPA home base (Pugnacious Penguin Army (PPA)) because inside the envelope was a call for direct HELP. It turned out that the Snake Army had chosen the Christmas period to attack and destroy several PPA posts all over the world so instead of a Christmas card these little fellows were in an instant state of War, during Xmax.............. c'mon. And to prove it was not just some false threat Photo Evidence was added showing several Penguins in ambush and hopeless situations against massive numbers of Snakes.

But before all the PPA soldiers out here went crazy and ran away from their Fishy Christmas diner, preparing for the much needed support on the battle grounds, there was also a little glimpse of hope inside the letter. So Capt. P. Penguins was able to keep the soldiers together and focussed a little longer telling them a new evolved Soldiers has shown up, one that was not known untill now......... Maybe this could've been the representation of the Christmas thought within this hostile situation?

Corporal Specialist Ice Flare (aka Cpl. Spc. Ice Flare ;)) seemed to be the last man (eh Penguin) standing at the Battle Field and the call for help was his' at that moment Capt. P. Penguin showed the Penguin Soldiers a picture of this new Penguin within the PPA and a big cheer went through the home base because this Corporal Specialist was a seriously looking dude and armed to the bone (or its fins). He had more than enough explosives with him to turn this whole hopeless situation around and take all of these Xmas hating Snakes down with just a few hits and one Big Bomb but he can't do it on its own so a Specialist Team of PPA soldiers is on their way to offer the much needed support.

To be continued.......

WOW since not only all of the Penguins were surprised but I might have been even more because this is an Awesome Gift! Not only I received a great looking (highly explosive) custom Penguin but it included a whole storyline which all together makes it even more perfect and incredible. The letter is a great piece by itself as it seems and feels as if it indeed comes straight from the battle field so it directly got my full attention. With the added pictures the storyline continued to evolve itself and by the moment I came across the picture of Cpl. Spc. Ice Flar I thought NO WAY it can't be .......... But it did because inside the little package was indeed this awesome custom figure making the whole story complete and the suprise even bigger!

Don't really know what to say here because even the biggest thanks to my Secret Santa can't express the suprise and astonishment I was overwhelmed with unpacking this gift/storyline. Its clear my Secret Santa knew more about me than I could've expected so it was really really well done as it was a direct hit of succes.

THANK YOU Eric (Koppenschevelle) for this great and awesome gift and being my Secret Santa, it was more than worth the wait!

Merry Christmas from the Netherlands to you and your family.

And last but not least here are a ton of pictures showing the whole story above, they are in order so please read the letter first ;)

-A custom kitbash MUSCLE - Archer guy body, a head that I feel I should be able to ID, but can't figure out
-Three Smurfs

Ok ok, it was me Ridureyu ;)

There also should've been 3 funy old UK comics in the envelope if I'm correct!? Those were just for fun but hope you didn't overlook them as packaging material LOL

Well it was actually my first Secret Santa mission so I'm still a rookie when it comes to this and Jon (Jkaris) forwarded me a name of a member who was not really that known by me since we both wonder around in different parts of the LRG forum mostly so it was pretty much of a challenge for me to compose something interesting and fun. Since I didn't want it to arrive late knowing shipping these kind of padded envelopes can take up to 5 weeks in the worst case I was granted by Jon to get the name of my giftee a little ealry as well but I had limited time.

So I composed a package with an assortment of Little Rubber Guys of which I hoped you'd like at least some of them. The custom painted Muscle was done by PlasticPlayhouse and I decided to add the Pink kitbash to the lot knowing your a fan of Predator and this little Archer fellow which has been a figure I've kept in my collection for a while sort of felt like a Muscle meets Predator type of figure can't really recall where I got that one from but I'm sure someone else can tell. The two little robot guys are Go-go's if I'm correct which were available in Belgium. The three Smurfs come from a Spanish toy company resulting in an assorted lot with a little bit of European roots in it.

I'm glad you seem to like my first Secret Santa attempt because it was clear I've been taken out of my Battle Beasts comfortzone here but that's also the fun part. Think the fact you still didn't know from who this gift was showed I tried my best because if I had included a BB it shouldn't have been to hard to make the connection with me as one of the few members being out in the Netherlands ;)

Hope you can still save the vintage comics because there some fun storylines in there.

Enjoy!

GJNL,

I am so glad that you liked your Secret Santa gift. It was a whole lot of work and time, but I had soo much fun putting it together. As a fellow Battle Beast army builder with my snake army, I always admired your PPA penguin army. I was very excited to get you and create a nice little custom and story between your penguin army and my snake army.

Here's the general story I had while making up the custom: While other armies have been training and building up their forces, the snakes have been lerking in the shadows, quietly building up their force while never revealing their true numbers or motives. However, recently a number of distant outposts have been found overrun and destroyed without any evidence of the attackers. Quickly, in a coordinated effort, multiple snake forces attcked several different penguin targets at the same time, hoping to overwhelm their northwestern line of communications and keeping all other armies blind to their movements. One penguin commander at the Blueflame Bastion received messengers from the wiped out patrols and outposts, giving him pictures of their assailents as proof of the attackers. But as soon as the messangers had arrived, the bastion had become surrounded by the largest snake army ever seen assembled in the open. The penguin commander choose one of his penguins, Cpl Ice Flare, a missle and demolitions expert, to carry the evidence and a warning message to Captain P Penguin at the training grounds of the main penguin force so that they would have time to bolster their defences. The only way that Ice Flare would be able to make it through the line of snakes would be to create a diversion, blowing the main weapons cache at the bastion, destroying the large fortress and hopefully a good chunk of the snake army with it. The damage to the snake army is minimal, but Ice Flare is succesful in escaping the clutches of the serpent force. However, now his perlilous journey to the PPA headquarters is just beginning.

Included in the care package that I sent him was:

- Ice Flare (custom heavy weapons/rocket penguin battle beast with rocket spear weapon)

- Dossier card detailing the penguin soldier Ice Flare

- Top Secret note addressed to GJNL's main character, Captain P Penguin, printed on aged parchment cloth

- Printed evidence photos of the various snake army attacks on distant penguin outposts and patrols

- Top Secret manilla envelope

- Top Secret evidence package scaled to Ice Flare

And here are the original images I used for the letter and the print outs before I shipped the whole package out.

Well I opened my gift and got quite a nice eclectic mix of minis. A strong showing from ironhaus productions, a good mix of production pieces. One in particular is the neclos croc, I have him already, but the one I have is pretty damaged, so yay. Very happy with what I got.
Thanks.

Sorry if the pic is too big, my laptop died so I'm stuck with my iPad. Nt sure how big the pics are with the built in camera.
