The re-issue is smaller and harder. It is still eraser rubber, but very stiff/dry eraser rubber. Like the kind you find on really cheap pencils.
Looks to be a remold using the original keshi, instead of the original mold. Like exogini.

Man thats a bummer, I was really hoping that they would consist of the glossy plastic
They are made of cheap eraser like rubber? So they seem like they would crumble or something? Darn, the glossy plastic would have been 1000 times cooler. I would have rather them use the hard plastic (like the game cube figures) than this stuff. What do you think about it Jkaris?
Nah, they're not going to crumble, crack or break, but the rubber is definitely dryer and stiffer.
I do agree, glossy would have been better. I am kind of put off by the size difference.

I seem to recall that I have some in little 3 packs that were released in 1999 (and they were still being made in Japan).
I know it is cheaper to have things made in China, but I am sure they had to put money into resizing the latest round of keshi and moving those operations to China etc. Just seems a little odd - does Bandai actually make anything in Japan these days, or is it all made in China now?

I too would have liked to see the re-issue plastic used for these figures, it has a more 'quality' feel to it.
The fleshie ones seem a bit weird but maybe that's just because I'm not used to the color. That said the figures are still very cool and orange and blue ones look very nice indeed. The size difference doesn't really bother me because the quality is still there.
Other than the pin holes missing the seam is also no longer visible to such a degree as the originals, maybe it is the slight remainants of what was probably on the figure thay took the mold of. The entry point for the liquid plastic also seems to be on the feet rather than the head (as was often the case with Kinkeshi/MUSCLE), it does not affect their ability to stand though.
All in all these are great little figures and I can't wait for teh next series! Hopefully we'll see some green or yellows in there...
I was so impressed I gave them their own entry on Toypedia with close ups of all the figures

Gilgar - I stole a picture that you posted above but gave you credit

Boaconda - I gave you credit for the 4 dot explanation - it was certainly new to me!

It has the same songs from the Daizenshuu and main intros and endings (and the Karubi song) from Nisei. The bonus is just the Tatakaei Ramenman Opening and Ending, and a CD of Kareoke song versions, but only for the selected songs:
Kin Openings 1-3
Kin Endings 1-3
Kinnikuman's Theme
Warsman
Ramenman
Terryman
Robin Mask
Brocken Jr
Rikishiman
Buffaloman
Big the Budo
Screw Kid
Kinnikuman Great
The Mountain
Blackhole
Akuma Shogun
So if you've the previous boxsets or songs, you may not bother, unless you want the vocal-less versions of those songs. Either way, it's a pretty worthwhile purchase.

Ahh, ok. Those were all attached with a small runner. The 2 piece SC has a thicker runner.Wow! Figures from parts 28, 29 and 30 in this release.
