So I was thinking about the guide and had a couple of questions:

1. Do people care about the pictures?

a. If so, do you you want a close-up of a single figures or all the figures made?
b. And if it's a single figure, would you want the Class A figure used?

2. Would you want a coffe-table like book version?
3. What would be the most you'd pay for a price guide book? (Having already looked into it, I know they would be at least $25 each)
4. Would it be worth it if there were more pictures and write-ups?

I would defintely be interested in a book. I recommend doing a page for each figure, on that page each color the figure is in is pictured with the class. I would pay $25 for it.

An idea to kick around for the cover: do some kind of competition design for the cover with a reward.

Additional idea: put in each Super Rare, Rare, and SC, and add the story of the Super Rares (what is known/unknown) and how each Super Rare was found.

I live in the UK and would be extremely interested in purchasing a book on M.U.S.C.L.E collecting, my mates would be green with envy

I think definately a softcover/paperback and perhaps not as big as A4 paper size as to keep the shipping costs down, is the way to go.
Full colour is a must and I love the idea of pictures of each figure.
One per page is probably a little overboard though, probably 2 or 3 to each page with brief descriptions, a rough price guide per figure and translated Japanese to English character names would be more than sufficient, with full pages dedicated to the Rare and Super Rare figures (SHA, SC, etc.)

Are you thinking of including the Ultimate Muscle toyline aswell?
Even if it were just a group picture of the full colour painted figures, with a couple of paragraphs on the other figures in those sets, it would be good information.

Providing the shipping costs were minimal, I would gladly pay anywhere between $25 to $50 for an invaluable guide to M.U.S.C.L.E collecting

Indeed, it's possible to comment on the "rarity" of these figures, but attempting to set a price for them is both futile and imposible.

As if to illustrate the point, this auction I won the other day contains a Class A figure (#41 Purple) and 5 Class B figures, and it went for next to nothing. But then as you know yourself, Class A figures have gone for hundreds of dollars.

I would totally be interested in such a book, well worth the money. Perhaps a print on demand service would be helpful, there are a bunch out there. I just did a quick check on Lulu and for a US Letter, paperback, color perfect bound 100 page book, the cost of manufacture was given about $25 US. Not too bad it seems to me.
