Yeah, those ground drones look cool, and everyone likes Nick Fury. If the price is right I could stomach buying a fugly Iron Man figure for the other 3. And I wouldn't have to buy a single pack Nick Fury. However, I'm wondering if the Ground Drones will be single carded... Cause I'd rather buy them separate if I can.

So I was wondering when the unofficial 2nd series of IM2 figs will hit the big box stores? I think we all know that TRU is the exclusive retailer at this point and it's been that way for about 5-6 weeks now. I haven't even heard any whispers or rumors of when the distribution will open up and include the regular stores. It would be nice when that happens so they may be more easily attained. I still am optimistic this will happen eventually. I can't believe Hasbro would allow a single retailer for such a major line for much longer. I'm sure they are interested in a maximally wide profit swath. It seems odd to me that they are going with an exclusive seller at this point. I could understand TRU selling the 2nd series exclusively and synchronously with 1st series near movie premier. But exclusivity does not seem to be a great launch pad for the purpose of maximizing series longevity.
In other words, I missed an opportunity to get Hulkbuster IM and I am kicking myself now for doing it.

Yeesh, what a rant.

Last week, Kmart restocked the Hulkbuster wave, finally got them into the system at the correct price, and even had them on sale. Since I didn't want anything other than Hulkbuster and there was no other figure I needed (was hoping for Fusion Armor), I didn't buy any. I do hope the sale sticks around for a bit.

Hmmm. Kmart of all places, eh? I hit several stores yesterday (including Kmart) but didn't see any series 2 IM2 outside of TRU. They must be making their way through the pipes. Good to know though.

I guess you missed my post from the 23rd? I wasn't the only one to find the wave at Kmart last month (on other forums), but there was some issue with the figures not being in the system correctly. My local store threw on the Deluxe price for them, which hurt. It's apparently corrected now.

I would be very intrested in an insiders look at how K-Mart runs thier business. A lot of people may never see IM2 second wave at thier K-Marts. I don't know if they get like one case only or what. I know that appears to be the case with X-M O:W deluxe figures but at least I saw the peg warmers even though I didn't get a crack at Blob/Sabertoot or Colussus/Astonishing Wolverine. Is my K-Mart just sitting on a case in the back, I'd ask but I rarely see any employees anywhere and never in the toy aisle.

Wal-Mart was stocking the second wave of the comic series tonight for those who are still on the look out. First pick for me :angry2:

Picked up HulkBuster, Titanium Man, and Guardsman. I don't like going figure shopping and coming home empty handed so I'll wait on the Neo Classic and Ditko mask IM.

Now bring on Marvel Universe wave 8!

Crud munchkins! I checked today, but didn't see anything. I'm so sick of this. These waves have been out for what? Months now? And they are taking forever to hit shelves. The last MU wave hit shelves very shortly after hitting HTS.

I know I actually was on a toyrun for the new MU wave and if the guy hadn't been stocking the IM2 while I was standing there I don't know if I would have checked. Still that Wal-Mart is actually getting these means you should find them sooner than later. I don't know why Toys R Us dragged their feet getting them on sale. Thats almost $20 dollars they lost.

Whew!!! Yesterday I discovered my local Wal-Wart had stocked IM series 2 figs. They only had 1 Hulkbuster so I nabbed him. He's a good one too w/ superior paint apps. I think I'm going to go back in one of these days with the in-pack $5 off coupon and grab 2 Guardsman and 1 Titanium man. I would not mind multiples of those two.
MU is in a biiiggg lull.

Guess what I found today! :ermm: Everyone on like every board reported finding these things at Wal-Mart. And I knew the IMII stock was low at my local store, so on a whim swung up there really quick, and what do you know! HULKBUSTERSSS!!! So I snagged 2 HB's cause I'm greedy and want one carded, and also got the modernesque Iron Man, Titanium Man, and a Guardsman. Yippee!

Gonna use these lovely coupons each time I stop in. I may pick up a Dikto IM, cause he actually looked cool, and depending on how I feel, maybe something else. ;)

It seems odd that every Wal-Mart stocked them within a week to me. Normally there is a slow seepage of figures from certain hot spots until it finally gets released to the rest of us. Good scores.

Yeah, it was weird. I usually go according to region. There were folks in Florida who claimed to have found them, and that's pretty close to SC, so I checked.

After opening them up, I have to say I like Titanium Man the most. I was a little annoyed at the difference in the colors of Hulkbuster from the proto and final product. Too dark, and the gold is a little weird, but he is still cool. :)

Is Nick sporting a Joe body? WTF!? I'm severely tempted to get this pack, just to have a Fury to command my Joe Forces. :D

Has anybody found a Neo-Classic with above average paint apps.? I passed him up the first time I saw these stocked and it took me until an hour ago to find one that didn't have a bunch of chipped paint. Also not a fan of the wash. It is a shame because I like him overall but I'm just going to think how much better he could have been.

I had a hard time finding a decent Neo Classic as well. Overall, I think the figure turned out pretty rough. I was mostly disappointed that he looked so much different from the original proto shots we saw. :) But I still like him, but he could have been so much better.

My son just asked for an Iron Man & War Machine toy for his birthday... I asked if he meant the Super Hero Squad or Regular size (that's how he's tagged 3 3/4 figs) & he wanted regular size. He wants a Transformer more but I know it'll be broken before he's really old enough to play with it & he doesn't want a dumbed down version. I think he might wind up with a couple of these. What do you guys think?

War Machine might be a bit tougher to find right now, and uses several small pieces. What Transformer did he want and what makes it a worse choice than two Iron Man figures?

He wasn't too specific on the Transformer, still a little guy as this is his 5th. I just know from his older brother that the TF's tend to be frustrating then broke before they're really old enough to work 'em. I might look around for a solid TF that would work for him though.

How long ago did his brother get TFs, and what age? Transformers have come a long way since G1 and often use ball joints and other parts that snap off and easily snap on rather than result in permanent damage. Timing's also a factor as newer TF lines are trickling out right now and include some designs I think are a tad more kid-friendly than some stuff on the shelves.

Anything from the Fast Action Battlers subline would work just fine however, as they're simplified in transformation without looking like Playskool or something else obviously kiddified. The Movie Activators line would also work perfectly, but that's also one of those newer toylines that you might not find readily yet. Toys'R'Us would be the best bet for those.

Toys R Us has the Fury four pack up on their website, since its an exclusive I'm going to hold off pulling the trigger. I'm unsure because I still haven't seen IM wave 2 at my local TRU but I think it will be fine.

Is anybody going to army build drones? I mainly just want Ultimate Nick Fury so when I get this I might be willing to work out a trade..

Edit: Update, Toys R Us Boise had the new Fury packs, still haven't seen wave 2 there, not that I actively look for them but I always glance past the IM II figures in case somebody drags a MU 9 over there.

Don't know if this old news or not because I don't follow IM like I do MU but I found the Iron Monger/Silver Centurian wave at a Target today so heads up Iron Man fans. I seem to have crazy good luck with these as I always get there right after they stock so I get to cherry pick the bad paint apps. away.

Agony Agony! I didn't see them today. But I'll have to check Wal-Mart probably as well. My Targets never got the last wave, and only Wal-Mart did. I really want that Iron Monger, and will be getting SC as well. Nothing else in that wave interested me. I'd have liked to just bought them off HTS or something, but nothing I want stays in stock more than 2 minutes on that site. I actually wish Hasbro would start doing subscriptions like Mattel has been doing for their more collector based lines. I think I could easily subscribe to a few of their lines.

What sucks for me is all the Hasbro stuff seems to get stocked all at once in my areas.

Those are the two I bought. I might buy the other two some day if I'm on a toy run and don't want to come home empty handed but I'm not that big an Iron Man fan that I've ever seen artic armor IM in a comic book. If only I had that snowboarding Spider-Man to display it with :thanks:
