couldnt he of just made a wax copy and cast that. melted that out and filled it with the metal of his choice... thats how i did it in college. hmm. maybe i should try it. maybe not.
I know there's a couple of people who would buy a metal claw; we'd love to see this happen-- it's been attempted three times, but to my knowledge, not with enough efficiency to produce high quality work like The Godbeast's works.
If a plastic reproduction beats your metal one, y'gotta hang it up!

If you've got the equipment, it should be worth a try.

But its gonna be on my own time. i dont have alot right now so i wont be giving an update anytime soon ... when and if it happens i'll show everyone. its been about 7 years since ive done this and i know people that can help me... lets all expect the worst but hope for the best. also im not going for anything extravagant, i'll prolly only make a few if i do. we'll see...

I bought mine from TGB, not sure where he got it.
I bought it from this guys who tried making them. He put it on Ebay and I won it. Then since I was getting out of Muscles (due to the divorce) I made sure to sell it to the claw master (at the time...looks like "Nobody" has the biggest claw collection now...maybe).

What is the latest on this project Ericnilla? Did anything come of it?Count me in. I would buy one. Also is there a picture of this metal claw? I can not see one in the thread. Might just be my computer though?

On a side note...you could always create metal infused "plastic" Claws as oppose to solid metal figures. Its an option and looks good.

In my recent research, I determined that the problems I had with my first attempt at pewter figures were as such: I did not pre-heat the molds and I did not thoroughly dry them between castings. Adm. Godbeast gave me some tips on how to improve on those errors (such as ahem...PRE-HEATING and DRYING). Chalk it up to youthful ambition blinding common sense.
I am thinking about trying to make some more in the coming months, mostly for my own collection. I think some figures would look sweet on a shelf or a desk. If I make some that turn out really nice, I'll offer them to others. What I REALLY wanted to do is get one of those 29th anniversary 418 piece sets to make molds from, but I was outbid at the last minute on the last auction at a reasonable price. I can't afford 1000+ dollars

Alrighty, that's my story. I really miss my MUSCLE friends. I'm going to try to do my webpage again- that was always a point of unfinished business for me.
Take care,
Patrick

The detail is a bit lacking, but still a very cool custom, nonetheless!
