While we're updating, let me be the first to warn you that my progress may be a tad slowed for a while due to a major project I have to do for the moment. And as you know...those are way more important than translating manga.

Unfortunately time is always going to be screwy in Kinnikuman, considering that they want it in a "real time" but at the same time in "manga time". Just look at how the Mongolman origin played out...then again don't, considering that we all know it wasn't a year between the 2nd Choujin Olympics and the arrival of the 7 Devils.

As for Kinnikuman in Bo-bobo...it actually occurs quite a lot considering that Sawai is obvious a fan. Probably my best starting point is probably from Hajike block (vol. 7), considering that once Tennosuke joins the team for good, we start getting "Tokoroten Magnum" all the time. (which is derivative of "Sunshine Magnum") There are a couple notable moments in the OVER arc too...my current sig is just before a climactic part of the fight with the Civilizations (won't say what since what happens after that panel is epic beyond belief if you're a Bo-bobo fan), plus there's a classic "Muscle Docking" bit at the start of vol. 8. (the first chapter, when they're fighting the "flying guy")

and the fight with the Civilizations is in the vol 8 right?

i was thinking in the plot of the throne arc and a question has come into my mind: why in the throne arc kinnikuman didn't asked for the help of any other chojin? i mean, terryman and robin aren't the only chojins alive in the world.. heck he even could have asked specialman, jesse malvia or skull bozu for helping him..

You do remember Specialman, right? And one has to wonder what Jesse Malvia would do, since he'd pretty much just reverse each technique, but be useless in trying to attack. Meanwhile, Kinnikuman wouldn't really want help from Skull Bouzu, since he's an Akuma Choujin or at the very least a Zangyaku Choujin (at that point, there weren't any Akuma Choujin, so it's hard to call him one), that hadn't said he's sorry.

Former resident song translator, and as a result, probably the distant, insignificant relative of the translation family on this board.

Update (7/1/2012 [7th Jan]) - Years away can calm a mind down quite well. I don't think of myself as some maligned martyr of the site. Rather it's just that I was unfortunately caught by the mudslinging of a rather unpleasant (and unprofessional) translator, who didn't like people taking the spotlight away from him, particularly if they happened to actually be able to properly translate work, as opposed to him. Nevertheless, despite the fact that all my work was my own, I got constantly accused of plagiarism, thanks to this unpleasant individual constantly saying how I stole his work. (When rather, it was going to end up being the other way round.)

I'm a lot more forgiving about the whole ideal, with how I ended up getting treated on this forum, as a result of this incident, but at the same time, I am still not in any mind to come back and join in again, nor will I uplaod any more of my translation work on here. This includes any of my old work, or my newer and much more accurate work. Some may see this as being petty, spiteful or based off an old grudge, and you may be right. However, I thought I'd explain things a little.

Skull Boze was in with Kinnikuman's friends during the second Chojin Olympics (Kinnikuman even complimented his toupee), so apparently they made up at some point.

They just wanted to make Suguru seem alone. Specialman was in the crowds during the coronation if you look closely...but unfortunately he's useless. (then again, Brocken Jr. was there too but...well...many already knows what happened to him...or should I say...who recruited him first...yeah, it seems really weird he disappeared around the point...never mind) And if you recall, most of the key allies are pretty much dead or unreachable at this point: Warsman, Ramenman, Buffaloman and Wolfman appear dead, Geronimo was last playing doctor, Ashuraman still thinks he's evil even after his huge eyes and sobbing last arc, and Yudetamago isn't clever enough to bring back anyone else and suddenly give them new, interesting abilities at this point. (would have been cool to see Suguru with a new team but I guess that takes too much work when satisfying a fickle fanbase who obsess with certain Idol Choujin...then again things don't change with the way manga goes today and how certain characters get fights over others)

The last chapter of vol. 21 is "The Final Operation", considering it continues the whole "Dr. Plot Device" story.

Something that seems rather obvious, considering the plot of the throne arc, would be to have the Peace Mask (I think that's what it's called after they unite?) appear to aid Suguru.

Come to think of it, that does seem obvious given how strongly tied into the Kinniku Clan history the last arc was.

Somehow the "ultimate mask" after Goldman and Silverman merged at the end would have been neat to see maybe to allow for this but it was just an excuse for it's own arc...I'd say it was a Macguffin but the problem is that the Macguffin WAS the big baddie so it's hard to say that.

Sometimes I think I try too hard myself to find clues where there aren't any. Just today, I actually had this stupid thought that we got an even earlier clue of Ataru being Soldier (earlier than the one I found in chp. 4) occured in chp. 2 when he had to take off his outfit to reveal his KIN mark while the other "God-Controlled" warriors didn't...but then I saw Mariposa had to take his outfit off too and that theory went out the window.

Chapter 258: The most boring chapter in months.
http://www.megalopuad.coc/?d=SRP98OAI

You can blame this chapter for single-handedly making me miss my deadline. It's been sitting half-finished on my computer for a week, but it was so boring that I couldn't muster the energy to finish it.

Yeah, nothing happened...well except for that stupid "your Texas-style fighting reveals who you are"...I always hated that inference considering Choujin change and use other styles all the time.

There are Danjo videos everywhere for all sorts of anime versions. So it should be easy to find one already translated since it's the exact same song every time. (though I do find it disturbing that they infer Ramenman with...Brockenman. Yeah I get Soldier/Ninja, I get Ashura/Sunshine and Robin/Wars, but...why Brockenman, what about Brocken Jr?)

Here's a translation of the lyrics.

I found it in this site: http://otherworldlyd...8/07/danjo.html

Teacher! The boys aren't listening to the bus attendants!
Teacher! The girls aren't back from shopping!
Shut up! Line up! Don't disrupt group activity!
Line up in the order "boy girl boy girl..."
Teacher! There are slightly more boys than girls!
OK! So line up in the order "boy girl boy boy girl boy girl."
"Boy girl boy girl boy boy girl?"
Wrong! Listen carefully! Make a line in this order:

Boy girl boy boy girl boy girl,
Boy girl boy boy girl boy girl,
Boy girl boy boy girl girl boy girl boy girl
Girl boy girl boy girl boy boy girl!

Leader! How should we decide the girls' seats on the bus?
Leader! Let's let the boys take their seats first!
Wait! Don't decide on your own!
Line up in the order "boy girl boy girl..."
Leader! A girl is going to arrive late!
OK! so line up in the order "boy girl boy boy girl boy girl."
"You mean, boy girl boy girl boy boy girl, right?"
No way! Listen, sit in this order!

Boy girl boy boy girl boy girl,
Boy girl boy boy girl boy girl,
Boy girl boy boy girl girl boy girl boy girl
Girl boy girl boy girl boy boy girl!

Try to read this while watching the vid.
I didn't translate this. I just found the translate one in a site.

I'll never understand Japanese viral videos...

Chapter 259: I'm not sure which is more disturbing: The Hell Missionaries digging up a corpse and taking the time to figure out how to stand it up in the audience or the fact that nobody noticed it was there until they pointed it out. (and there were a bunch of audience members standing right next to it)

I thought it was funnier though that the "look, over there!" bit actually helped the Mask Hunt a bit more, considering that somehow regardless of Kamehame's corpse being there (and it gets weirder the next chapter) Terry probably would have fallen for it and saw some Kamehame...thing.

So then...what was with those random pics of Terry's head always appearing under the Great mask? (it would have been funnier if people traded places to be Great akin to some other series but unfortunately it's less about the revelation...and more about Suguru's reaction)
