Actually, Chao's might just be WTF-ing because Mari-chan's so young, she couldn't be Rinko's mom (this is if he doesn't believe/know the whole 'from the future' story).
But now that he knows Mari's name and how cool she is to Rinko, he may remember her down the line when he needs to keep his little girl safe... Oh god, if my cracky little idea was actually RIGHT, I'll be expecting plagues of locusts in preparation for the apocalypse. xD;
