I totally get what you are saying. The way they are sold is really convenient, but at the same time makes the process of collecting them a bit dull. I remember how much fun it was opening a MIMP secret 12-pack or dissolving one of those bags that the Trash Bag Bunch came in.

Although I guess it still hasn't been too easy for me to get these figures, because it would be a flipping miracle if the Toys R Us near me ever got a single pack of them (they simply don't carry them at that Toys R Us, which means I still haven't got any series 3 or the series 1 exclusives).

Just about every store in my area has tons of series 3. I'd be happy to pick up a set for anyone that wants one at cost (8.25% sales tax) + shipping.

$23.77 + shipping for 12 pack plus 3 3-packs with exclusives only
$28.09 + shipping for 12 pack plus all 4 3-packs

I'm also still looking for Piece Mail Pete and Officer RIP if anyone has one.

Yes, and I still stand by it. Restaurants in Beverly Hills charge $25 for hamburgers, and rich people buy them. Does that mean the hamburgers are actually worth $25?

Anyway, I'm just glad I could help out those four people by getting them series 1 sets for cost plus shipping. Could I have charged more? Sure, I could easily have made a profit on that, but it just didn't seem like the right thing to do. Especially since, as a long time toy collector I have seen many times where a rare toy suddenly gets rereleased, and I'd feel even extra-guilty to overcharge someone for a "rare" toy only to have it get rereleased a few months after they buy it.

Ok, what does it matter who buys them? If someone wants to pay $25 for a hamburger, then it's worth $25, to THEM. To you it's clearly not worth $25. Something is worth what someone is willing to pay. No more, no less. If someone is willing to pay $25 for a hamburger, then it's worth $25, maybe it's the ambiance of the restaurant, maybe it's the taste of the food, or the friendliness of the staff. To THEM it's worth $25. To you, you only see the cost of the raw ingredients.

If the series 1 slug zombie exclusives are only worth $2.75 each, I'll gladly take yours off of your hands. Clearly you won't because you value them higher! As many other people do.

Toysrus.com now has series three 3 packs. And they have them labelled individually so you should be able to get the three you need.

Once my four S1 exclusives arrive courtesy of b00sted then my S1 set will be complete!! Something I never thought would happen with SLUGs not being released in the UK  The best part of the whole deal was that the figures were given to me completely free of charge! Legend! In return I've sent b00sted's little boy a selection of figures that I hope he enjoys fiddling with :)

I made a quick run to Toys R Us today to pick some Seris 3 packs for someone and found Piece Mail Pete :yahoo:

I found him on the same random clearance end cap that I found Mighty Bite Mac when we first started looking for them even all of the rest of them are in the games section. Now I am only lacking Officer R.I.P...that ebay auction is now really tempting since he is the last one I need.

I wouldn't sweat it too much. We'll see how TRU pumps these things out at Christmas. If they don't do any special gift packagings, involving any and all of the figures, I will be amazed, and you can commence peeing your pants over getting wave 1 exclusives.

Seeing that many of these finds are on Clearance racks I wouldn't hold out much hope for this lines success.

But I'm a Gloomy Gus when it comes to the toys I like, seems every modern line I think is cool enough to collect is shortly cancelled, and then has to be collected on the after market for way more time and money than it's worth.

Depends on what area you're in, I guess. Series 2 and 3 seem to be moving really well out here.
I think the main problem with wave 1, was that there was limited availability, and unless you're a die hard LRG fan, nobody was goin to put in the effort to find them.

S.L.U.Gs are blowin' off the shelf around here. TRU can't keep em stocked, and Target and K-mart have re-stocked a few times to keep em on the shelves. Very encouraging!

Same here. They're keeping them stocked, so that's why it may seem like some places they are peg warming, when in reality they are moving and getting restocked.

Can somebody tell me if Jump-shot Rot is taller than most of the other SLUGs seeing as he's a basketball player? The tallest figure I have at the moment is Headless Halpert, who is he had his head on would be pretty damn tall compared to the others, even Mighty Bite Mac.
