... Well forgeting about this episode... when the chapters are gonna be realesed? Hopes soon^^ I'm crazy to see the throne arc scanlated ^^

Ataru has lots of other projects to catch up on, and I'd rather not do the first volume, then have to wait a few months for the rest. This is a better break.

Talking things over tonight with Tash, I may be putting the Throne on hold for a while on account of something else. Maybe finishing some other stuff up, maybe getting back to my Bo-bobo project (getting some nudges to finish Shinsetsu), maybe...who knows what. But considering no one really is in the mood to see/hear Kinnikuman right now, I may as well use this break to be constructive. (well...after I finish the second volume of KochiKame)

Thankfully I haven't started on it. If KM doesn't leave TeamKinniku permentanly because of this, I'll still work on it. If he does though, I have an idea (and won't be using KM's script if that happens, since he's so against "stealing" his work...)

If ya' need assistance with grammar check or writing, drop me a PM. I'd be happy to lend my skills.

I'm eagerly awaiting the final bits of the Tag arc (I'm downloading directly from the TeamKinniku site to quality check the uploads... and complaining on the occasion something isn't downloading right) to be put on TK's main page.

Honestly, I think after the Tag arc is all uploaded that there should be a blurb on the front page that 1) Advertises Wimmo's fansub, and 2) Announces the break before tackling the Tag Arc with the primary Team Kinniku Members. (and maybe point out that over twice as many chapters were done in one eighth the amount of time it took Toriyama's World to do what they did). The amount of series that has been absolutly SPED through is astounding! If I recall, the average time was something like a chapter every four days according to one website I found.

Our glorious Milky Way is a tiny, infinitesimal speck of sand in this vast, incomprehensible universe. And somewhere in that Milky Way is our own solar system, less than one billionth of that speck of sand that is the Milky Way. And then there is our planet Earth, one hundred trillionth of that one billionth of that one speck of sand. And on this planet Earth there is DEV-0, an insignificant blemish with a lifespan too short to measure when placed in infinite time.

And you are here, with them, as so many specks of sand.

Hey, Ataru-- Wimmo's sub has gotten me interested in 7xBo. Are there scanslations of it, or are there just scripts? If the former, where are they?

Honestly, I find people translating Bobobo to be a very brave act, considering the scatalogical and plain wacky humour. I'm not exactly a fan myself, but I can appreciate that it can be a difficult thing to translate at times. It'd be like trying to translate Monty Python into Chinese or Japanese. (... Oh, wait... They did. The Gay Boy Dragon Show...)

Former resident song translator, and as a result, probably the distant, insignificant relative of the translation family on this board.

Update (7/1/2012 [7th Jan]) - Years away can calm a mind down quite well. I don't think of myself as some maligned martyr of the site. Rather it's just that I was unfortunately caught by the mudslinging of a rather unpleasant (and unprofessional) translator, who didn't like people taking the spotlight away from him, particularly if they happened to actually be able to properly translate work, as opposed to him. Nevertheless, despite the fact that all my work was my own, I got constantly accused of plagiarism, thanks to this unpleasant individual constantly saying how I stole his work. (When rather, it was going to end up being the other way round.)

I'm a lot more forgiving about the whole ideal, with how I ended up getting treated on this forum, as a result of this incident, but at the same time, I am still not in any mind to come back and join in again, nor will I uplaod any more of my translation work on here. This includes any of my old work, or my newer and much more accurate work. Some may see this as being petty, spiteful or based off an old grudge, and you may be right. However, I thought I'd explain things a little.

A semi-joke, I'm afraid. It can be found in the Michael Palin Diaries. The literal translation for the title they gave Monty Python, according to Palin, was "Gay Boy's Dragon Show", or something similar. "Upper Class Twit of the Year" was something like "Super Eccentric Number One Guy". The accurate "translation" eludes me at the moment. Either way, it was silly and long-winded.

Well I'm doing the scanlation of Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo, with the translation of Ataru ^^

I'm not good as Steacase King, but it's better than nothing ^^. I will do, at least, 1 chap per week, this is the only thing I can promise, because I'm too lazy and have high school every day ¬¬( I'm 15 ^^)

I took a look around. Is there not a place like Team Kinniku where there's an archive of them that can be downloaded? I really don't want to read them online... but the only sites I found with Chapter 1 had it posted to read online.

Mangafox and OneManga has them, but you'd have to search around. They're first put up on MH (the home base with the scripts) but the problem is that it's rather spotty prior to recently. As of this time, the series is scanslated from the beginning (the first twenty chapters were done by some other people) to the beginning of Hajike Block. (it's the very beginning, considering that it haven't reached the point Tennosuke joins for good)

You could use a generic manga chapter trading place, like #Lurk or Mangatraders if you can't find the early chapters. (although be warned that there are two versions of the first few chapters floating around. One of them has a pretty bad translation and a lot of unneeded vulgarity)

Everyone on Team Kinniku (sans...well, you know) deserves that kind of status.

Would it be impossible to make, say, a Kinniku Legend user status, for posters like Knuxie and the Team Kinniku team who give us manga scans and Jenny, who posts the weekly updates?

I can tell you all right now I wouldn't get something like that if it were made. 99% of the time I don't contribute anything. Except my arse-backwards views on RETCONS, Vizzy release windows and FAN DRAMAZ.

Also, a suggestion on the whole V-jump series. Since it's not really that important of a series in terms of getting it out there ( despite it being better then the original Nisei manga plot holy crap ), leave it until the Throne Arc is finished and then tackle that?

Just saying.

The Spanish version actually I saw was up to at least Suguru vs. Jessie Malvia last I checked. But I guess it's just still being sorted out.

"You know..." caught me on AIM last night and says he's still working on it, so the two series are still being worked on by completely different people, meaning V-Jump Nisei and the Throne Arc don't interfere with each other. (plus Ataru and I are on break for a while to recover)

btw, he also asked for your e-mail address, so you should probably contact him. (although I don't really have his e-mail either, so you'll have to dig it up yourself)

It's not forbidden to say "K_M" or "KinnikuMuscle."

He threatened someone digitally, something this board doesn't tolerate. He's part of TeamKinniku, so feel free to post what you need to.

Also, if ya'll have lost his e-mail, PM JKaris. He may be able to help.

I already PM'ed Stecase on this matter. I prefer to keep to PMs and not e-mails.

And yes, I know it's not forbidden. I don't know why I did that. I'm still kind of shocked he got banned after so long since his stay here was... colorful. (and that's putting it lightly, I'm sure his post count had a lot of interesting messages.)

It's pretty hard to get banned here. You have to either be a scammer or threaten someone physically. Other than that, it's next to impossible to get the boot.

The last ban that I remember from a couple years back was some user made two or three separate accounts for his/her self, and basically posted replies to himself/herself.

They also posted Yajima Uso art while his site was still up. Stupid move right there. Well dammit, now I'm a sad panda again. I MISS YOUR SITE YAJIMA.

Wow. Ummm...

Don't try to comprehend death in Kinnikuman. It's an even worse revolving door than DB in some ways. (at least in DB you can be wished back to life...here, Choujin just die and return all the time)
