Terryman may be kind of boring, but at least his character's shortcomings aren't outwardly irritating like The Kid's.

I meant he has a damn mullet.

And this tournament never occured during the original series. It's a result of the Time Choujins coming back and messing history up.

(I agree about Terryman being better than Terry. Although I kinda like his mullet..)

I don't even have much of a problem with Terryman's fighting style. His design... it's pretty much just a guy with stars on his shoulders and an a-hole painted on his forehead.

And the Dream Choujin Tag Match was just ending when the Time Choujins arrived. They showed up when Kinnikuman and Terryman were about to grab the trophy when they interfered. Apparently because they showed up, the trophy wouldn't budge from its spot in the ground so they had to have another tournament. Or something.

..I guess it's safe to say I'm the only loser here that likes the bloody and gorey scenes so far, here... right? ^^;

@ Miss Mothra: You're far from the only one. Gory bloody fun is fun, and it's ten times more fun when playing Resident Evil 4! And... people like and hate certain characters, but how can people hate Terry the Kid because of his mallet? That really doesn't make sense...

To Chibibee: You are the awesome. (<- Engrish...?) When do you expect to get episode 17 up? That's the one episode I really want to see in Japanese. Why? Because they give Rinko more then one line of dialog. Which is why I like writting Rinko and the girls in fan fiction. I don't ignore them. And Fumiko Orikasa (Rinko's seiyuu) is awesome. She is SO much better then Lisa Oritz.

I'm.. pretty sure she has equal ammount of dialog in the original and the dub. Also.. are the italics poking fun at yaoi fics? >/

Hmm, I'm thinking Kin and Terry will pull out a win here and probably be too beat up to continue in the tourney. That would effectively remove them from the equation(w/o rewriting history) so we can focus more on Mantaro and Chaos' run for the gold.

It's so good that Chibibee got episodes 17 and 18 up, because seeing those scans want me to roll into a little ball and roll into a dark corner and cry. =(

On the plus side, I am typing this while in Seattle! I'm going to get the new renewal manga of Kinnikuman from the asian book store. I'll give my impressions soon!

The mullet makes sense with the time travel if you are a YTMND nerd.

I am pretty scared of that mouth Moaidon has, I wonder what condition Terry will be in when this fight has ended...

I didn't really find Kid's personality in both the anime and manga irritating at all. In fact, since I follow the anime more then I do the manga, I find Kid's personality in the later episodes to be more likable. In the second episode, which was Kid's anime appearance, he was acting like an arse because he didn't like that his father was always in Kinnikuman's shadow. He stopped being an arse when Kinnikuman showed him a picture of the two of them winning Dream Tag Team arc, and poor Kid realized he acted wrongly towards Mantaro.

In fact, Kid's character towards Mantaro is in no way irritating, it basically normal human emotions. I could understand his frustration greatly when Mantaro was the referee for his match against Rex King, since it seemed Mantaro was always giving him a yellow card. You also have to give credit to Kid for trying hard to get out of his father's shadow. They use the same wrestling moves, but I like Kid more then Terryman, namely because of the growth he goes through in the series.
