I've stayed with it (

It was pretty much revealed later in the episode that's not the case.
Did'nt catch that. Its already confirmed on the lost forums. It is Hell. The characters are always trying to manipulate each other,so maybe you took someones comment the wrong way.

GL is right, they're not in hell. That was such a heavy-handed misdirection that the only thing that could have made it worse was the sexy-robot saying, "We're in hell!"

Well, after burning through all the previous episodes in a herculean marathon stint, this week was the first episode i saw "live" and can talk about on the internets. My original intent was not to watch the series until it was over, but i decided it was too big, and it would be impossible to dodge spoilers after the final episode is inevitably summarized into a five-word internet meme.
Now that i'm finally caught up, all i can really say is that i disapprove of having to wait for new episodes.
Also that i wish i was friends with Hurley.

Well,it's over. What'd you guys think? I was personally dissapointed with the last 10 minutes. SPOILER ALERT They were all dead,and in purgitory. I know that was one of the theories early on in the series,but after caring for these characters for 6 years,and come to find out their all dead was kind of a slap in the face I felt. My wife on the other hand was sobbing like a baby the whole time,and thought it was great.

I was satisfied with the ending. They weren't dead the entire series. Everything that happened on the island happened when they were alive. The Sideways life this season was the"purgatory" or as Christian put it the place they created where they could meet so they could finally move on. The thing that can get confusing is that the sideways and island stuff weren't going on at the same time since these characters all died at different times. Hurley and Ben could have spent who knows how long on the island before finally making it to the sideways, where as Boone was the first one there. At least that's how I perceived it.

What a waist of time! Ugh! That final was so friggin stupid it wasn't even funny! I stayed up for that piece of crap that didn't answer anything. I am not going to even buy the rest of the DVD's. What a joke!

I don't know, I think it was the happiest ending we could have had. Everyone together again at the end..for eternity. As for unanswered questions...there were a few, but like what? I think most of the big ones were answered this season. As for other questions..I'm sure there will be novels and things like that that will explore the the island's past and future.

For one why was the darma insitive their, the army, the others their? ie ben, charles widmore, etc... Did you notice Penny was their with the group? But she was never on the island at all. I get the whispering people because they are dead and trapped on the island. It explained the smoke monter "somewhat" and the black rock.
Lapitice "Pilot", Miles, Ben, Clair, Kate and Sawyer. So they did not die on the island then. Or did all of them die in the plane crash?
More dissapointed than anything.

I beleive the Army, Dharma, and Widmore were there to investigate the electromagnetic activity. Now wether they discovered the island by themselves or lead there by Jacob and MIB to particiapate in their moral game, I don't know.
In my opinion, I believe that the people that left on the plane lived 'normal' lives once they returned home and died orinary deaths at different times.
