Well said Fuzz!!

I have been following this, but wasnt going to comment since I dont plan on bidding and dont even really collect much anymore. I got rid of like 75% of my collection prior to the baby being born so I really dont plan on spending thousands on another SR. But after reading that complete and total garbage posted by Alex I decided I needed to comment since he loves talking about me, even though I havent purchased anything muscle in several years I am still a target of this assholes. The whole comment about Johnny taking the board offline for a minute so I could win the SR has got to be one of the most pinheaded and funny at the same time things I have ever heard. If any of you even half believe that idiot please look at the thread Johnny posted. Alex missed the cut off, he then congratulated me on winning, but now several years later says it was a scam hahahaha. What a effing moron. I agree with Johnny, he cares so much more about his collection than any friendship that could be made in this hobby and that is really sad. He'd probably push his mother in front of a bus if it meant he could get his hands on a new SR.

i agree that this whole thing should be about the new super rare found! unfortunately because of a certain someone, super rares will always be tainted until we can just let it go and celebrate the super rare itself.

personally i have always loved the drunken master sculpt. like the claw it is very unique and doesn't really go with the rest of the theme. it stands out and as such is cool because of it! one of the other cool facts that i love about the drunken master sculpt is that can stand on it's head!!! seriously. part of it's charm and cannot possibly be an accident. it will stand on it's head or feet like any true kung fu drunken master! if you have one of these in keshi or godbeast... try it!!!

I agree Fuzz!!!!! It is about the collecting not a personality contest. We all have to understand we all want the same things....We love collecting figures so that is what is has to be....no bs, no fighting as we are all adults, and who cares who wins it....Just be happy that there might be
more where that came from....I was pissed last night but thought it over and this is just a toy.....A toy guys that we put the price on not anyone else, we did.....if someone payed 5000 for it and it was worth it to them that does not mean every SR is worht that much...Show me somewhere that says how much those should go for.......Its all about who wants it the most and who has the money to get it. It is an auction after all....I am not picking sides as I lost too but the person who wants it the most will win in the end and that it shall be even if it is Alex or someone else...We should congradulate the winner instead of trash talking how much they spent or whatever ....I am not going to side with anyone but as I know what all happended and am sorry about it but it has nothing to do with me.....As for the bidding...I withdrew my bid after Alex got dropped from the bidding as the seller blocked him....Then that left me with my 800 bid + my max bid of 1400...I did not like the fact my max bid was revieled and so I retracted the bid and let Jon became leader again..I was not mad at anyone but the seller...I thought it was cheap of them to say oh we are so sorry and want to protect our store and this wont happen again and it shouldnt of happened at all so we are relisting it again with new pics blah blah blah....They new what they had now and did not want 500 as I wouldnt either, who would?....I am mad at them for ending it with bidders on it already.....I dont blame someone coming and making an offer....I have done it bunch but I try to only do it if I am the only bidder but have won a few just like it....That is the name of the beast......I still am interested in it but am unsure if I want to persue it any more....I dont want the SR curse hung over my head...It seems to me when you get one things change so I am not sure I am ready for that yet......I hope you all understand as I just want to collect and help others build theres as well as get help from others as that is what it should be about.....Not a pissing contest or war............One more note...I love claws and SC's as does Stoneyface....But me and him are not fighting over them as everyone knows I bid on all those auctions....We have been working out trades and split auctions in order to help each other out.....So if someone collects Super rares that is what they enjoy......Me I just would like to have one and stick to what I love...........
My passion is Claws!!!!!
Peace out Yall!
Jay

Just a quick note. If anyone believes that I have "manipulated data on this board to make Alex look bad and cover the misdeeds of myself and moderators" as is being said over at CTL, all I have to say is there are 3 places you can go to see for yourself that it is total B.S.
1. Ask people who have been in this group prior to Alex being banned.
2. Do a Google search.
3. Use the Wayback Machine: http://www.archive.org/index.php

Alex lies, all the time. For those of you new collectors who have any doubts, don't take me at my word, research it for yourself.

As far as my ability to read PMs, of course I can read PMs. This has been public knowledge forever, and should be common sense, as I own the board and have access to the database. Any website owner can see anything in regards to their database or site logs. It's not some secret conspiracy. Do I go snooping through people's PMs because I am some crazed loon? ;) No, but I do go looking for specific things when there is major controversy or when a member is suspected of being crooked. This is how we found out that Alex was screwing over new collectors and shill bidding up his own purple claw 4-pack auction here on the board. This is how we caught almost everyone in the banned/dishonest users thread. When there is smoke, you look to see if there is fire. But no, I don't willy-nilly go snooping through everyone's PMs. That is absurd. I have way too many things to do to waste my time reading the thousands of PMs that go through this board each week.

But like I said, for you new members who are inclined to believe anything Alex says, do the research for yourself. Please, do.

And lastly, I have never made any inference that I would either disassociate myself or ban anyone for who they choose to associate with or what other sites they choose to be a part of. Anyone who has known me for more than half a minute knows that I really couldn't give a flying eff who people hang around with. I am not your mother, father or priest. I will, however, be open and vocal about known scammers, like Alex and his ilk. So if you choose to associate with him, whoop-de-effing-doo. I don't care, but you should watch your back because he will put a knife in it.

That is really all I have to say.

BTW, congrats on whoever wins the DM auction!

And with that being said either lock this or put it in the sandbox. This thread was about dm. Idk Alex don't care and honestly the contents of this thread are inappriate in every way. You want my opinion. Yeah from what I read Alex seems to be a scumbag but he won regardless of how he did it. Dick move maybe but that's the sellers fault for not researching what he had and for agreeing to take down the auction. In my opinion the seller and those who contacted the seller are the jerks here. You guys want to bee-eye-itch cause he ripped the seller off at 500 buck. But than pat smokey on the back for getting a purple claw for a dollar???? Alex won period. Scumbag or not he won. That dm belongs to him. I'll be happy for whoever gets it but I don't agree with how everything went down. Yeah it's a super rare but to everyone else but the few of us in the world these are worth 50 cents. So who's really getting ripped off in the end? That's my rant. Agree/ disagree but this needs to be closed or moved

Also URS, do you have access to the staff lounge? What is being said there? Have you said anything to the other people who PMed the seller? I know for a fact that two other people did. I don't know who, but I know two did.

No, and I actually wouldn't want to. No, I have not spoken with anyone else who may have P.M.ed the seller. I don't know how many did, or who, other than those who publicly announced it. I do however have years of experience in the hobby, and have seen this crap happen before, and I know how alot of collectors react to these sorts of things. It is a given, and almost kind of common sense that more than 1 collector would email the seller to tell them they got ripped off. Rare collectibles attract more attention, and that leads to alot of talking. As you can see from this thread, I'd say this is probably the most active muscle topic for the year. ;)

SmokinGun, sorry. You might even get JamesSullivan in on it too. He has quite the collection.

LOLOL, no no, I don't bid high on EBAY! I only deal with real people and real toys when it comes to purchasing toys that weighs less than a "5 cent Bazzoka" piece of gum.

A bit of advice, with bootlegs and the possibility of M.U.S.C.L.E.s of all sculpts being produced somewhere, 1 must be willing to spend money for something that may be worth 25 cents. If you are able to hide your pride for the love of a sequal/continuation of the M.U.S.C.L.E. collection craze you experienced nearly 30 years ago, then be smart. Buying will always be as is, so try to see it in person. If it is too far, let it go. There will be more. Even after you buy the figure, keep in mind you bought the figure as is. So even if it turns out to be something similiar to M.U.S.C.L.E. but is actually something else, there is nothing you can do about it.

With my buying policies outta the way, I must say this Drunken Master is much cleaner looking then that other photo floating around out there. I will admit I'd be pretty peaved if I bought the figure at $500 and was told deal is off because someone complained. But then again, I'd not bid that much, and would offer to meet the seller in person in order to make the deal in person.

As for politics, JKaris is great. I have no complaints and thinks he does a superb job with Little Rubber Guys .com
Forums will always get moderated, which is common knowledge. That is how so many criminals get caught on facebook/myspace.
As for other forum, there is no other forum when it comes to M.U.S.C.L.E. figures.

As for the super rare DM Drunken Master, I hope someone who has not got a super rare snags him, and that he turns out to be everyhting expected and more.
Dam I want the gold kinnikuman, I just can't read Japanese so Yahoo Japan just won't work :(

Drunken Master is 1 cool looking figure.

2 tid bits that don't belong in any thread
1-Paypal plug in no longer works today :( very sad day indeed for toy collecting on the web at such places like www.toystable. com
2-There is a laser beast silver chrome something going for a couple of bills listed as a super rare. Super rare term is spreading! Soon people will be selling there G.I. Joes that were customed made through the mail with proofs of purchase by Mattel in the mid 80's as Super Rare! Bah humbug!

Our glorious Milky Way is a tiny, infinitesimal speck of sand in this vast, incomprehensible universe. And somewhere in that Milky Way is our own solar system, less than one billionth of that speck of sand that is the Milky Way. And then there is our planet Earth, one hundred trillionth of that one billionth of that one speck of sand. And on this planet Earth there is DEV-0, an insignificant blemish with a lifespan too short to measure when placed in infinite time.

And you are here, with them, as so many specks of sand.

In light of all the drama surrounding this auction (which sadly is the case everytime something cool in the muscle world pops up), has anybody asked the seller if they remember where they got it? Is he one that got all his muscles out of four packs/ten packs/ etc...? Or like many of us has he just picked up some here and there and before he knew it he had a few hundred and would never remember where he got it.

I agree with James Sull, it would be cool to see in the hands of someone who doesnt own any rare muscle stuff yet. But if someone wants to buy it for me because I am so effing cool, i am totally ok with that too hahaha.

How silly would it be if after all this bs it ended up being a bootleg or something. I actually have these strange reissues that are made of hard plastic that i wanted to post because in pics theyre really really similar to muscles. Orrrr maybe ill throw one in a muscle lot and wait till someone notices and start a huge amount of drama and then with 30 seconds left on the auction ill just remove it and disappear with it so everyone can talk about it for months wondering what happened to it and discussing it until the topic is beaten to death and then ill pop up and say it was a reissueeeeee gotchassss!!!!! Hehehe. Orrrr maybe ill be a super villan who goes around buying super rares and then cutting them in pieces and posting body parts with ransom notes. Orrrrrr lol im done

I placed the second bid on this biatch, and I knew I never had a chance in hell at that initial price but wanted to be in the game and drop some more dough if it did not get too loco. A little $$ now for my interest, but I must say I have not had this much fun following an auction for quite sometime.

Kinda reminds me of the first Satan Cross auction back in 2002 or something like that. All sorts or drama and looking back it went for chump change. Anyone recall the Satan Cross Manifesto? lol

Crazy ass shenanigans aside, listings like these help to reinvent the hobby.
