From the october toys forum.

This was created as a limited edition series of 10 figures, but only 8 of them will be up for grabs on Wednesday, June 20th 2012 at 12 Noon PST via the SpankyStokes.com online store ( http://store.spankystokes.com/ )for just $60 each + shipping. Each figure also comes with a highly durable/waterproof print of the original digital painting/rendering and it measures 16" x 7 1/2", all of which are signed and numbered by the artist. Along with the print and blister packed "Tiger" Stroll figure, you will also get tons of stickers and buttons. This is an amazing piece in person, and will go great with the rest of your growing OMFG collection... best of luck grabbing these, and see you all on Wednesday!

So I shouldn't charge $60 for my custom Puke Knights? Allright, allright $55 for LRG forum peeps! Haha I keed, I keed.

That tiger Stroll is gorgeous but there is no way I would ever throw that money at an OMFG custom.

I'd pay up to $40 for one, but not $60. But that is just me.

I preferred the zombie set that guy did. It was Stroll and Crawdad and I think George got it for $40.

The digital painting print is nice, but probably prices the set beyond what people that just want the custom Stroll would pay.

I got another zombie pack made up, all up it cost me $60 including shipping which was fair I thought.
I know there are 3 of these zombie packs that Dan made up, and now 11 tiger strolls, if you include the first one.
I want one but $60 is a bit steep.

Hey REDJAROJAM- I hope you do some custom GID puke knights like you mentioned!

King Castors really really actually go out tomorrow or Wednesday. I, well, had to buy a new printer to print shipping labels.

That doesn't sound fishy or feel laced with uncertainty at all.

I'll take the guy at his word.

My guess, is that:
1. He's very busy with life in general.
2. He isn't exactly set up to package and ship 100+ orders.

Totally possible but the last thing he said was that they would ship LAST week. It has been like 20 days since we all paid i think? So i have doubts that they will ship today or tomorrow. Doesn't really matter though.

Probably being impatient cause i just want mine for a trade i set up here for the pink multi-skull anyway :joecool:

Most of us aren't. I expect there to be an OMFG figure eventually where the artist either doesn't buy the proofs or decides it's too much trouble to make them available for sale and ship.

Yeah, I was thinking we might see that happen with this next batch. I think that would actually be better in the situation that someone isn't equipped to handle it, since I bet someone else would be willing to jump in and do it (maybe one of the guys who have already done it). It's obviously a ton of work but I think people will be motivated by the desire to have APs of every figure.

Would the AP figures still be produced if that was the case or would we see no AP for that figure?

If the designer of the toy doesn't buy into the AP color of his own figure, it just won't exist.

I was under the impression that AP figs were the artists "pay" for their work.
But if Ironmask says they have to pay for them, I'll go along with that.
I don't want to end up on his hate list like EricNilla. :teehee:

yeah thats true, the "artist" have to pay for their AP figures. So really they get nothing out of it other than some chinese company making a figure of theirs for others to sell.

Yeah, it's been said a few times over there that the artist pays for their proof figures. I guess it doesn't make sense to call it an artist proof if the artist doesn't want it, so ironmask is probably right that OT just wouldn't order them from the factory at all.

That could screw the other artists a little. Some completists might not bother buying any artist proofs if they know they can't get all 5. I would still buy them.
