Mariposa is just a jerk. There's nothing to "like" about him.

I said that I liked his backstory, not really anything to do with him himself.

I did like Mariposa so it wasn't that horrible to me. But it was hilarious seeing Robin get so swayed by pity talk.

That's the main thing I hate about Robin Mask's fights. They ALWAYS come down to someone messing with Robin's head. ALL of them. Neptuneman did the whole "I'm not Quarrelman, prove me wrong", Junkman spooked Robin so that he'd have to overcome the flinching, Atlantis forced him to choose between Meat's arm and the match, and Kinnikuman removed his mask to make him let his guard down.

It wasn't interesting the first time, and it's not interesting now.

Chp. 308: You want to know the worst thing about Ashuraman/Satan Cross? The fact that the anime only spends 15 seconds on it...maximum!: http://mangahelpers..../releases/17722

Doubt it really is going to affect anyone's schedules, but this will be my last script for a while as I take a personal week off for Thanksgiving. I am maybe thinking spending a couple days doing the "special recap/alt-universe" chapter at the end of vol. 28 (basically this chapter was thrown together to sort of bide for time since the writer of Yudetamago got sick and the series took a three-month break until he got better...it also sort of explains some of the silliness in the chapter where the series restarted again, as you'll see), but I don't know if anyone really wants me to do it or the importance of having it aside from being completist. It's not like it's the Choujin Olympics recap in being a proper chapter but I think I'll leave it up to you guys if I do it or not.

There's way, way too much text on that thing to be worth the time to translate. It'd probably be more efficient to just summarize it.

Do you remember that recap chapter after the second Chojin Olympics? It's basically another one of those, with a lot of recap information and what-if scenarios. (the most interesting of which being a page-long summary of how a third Chojin Olympics arc would play out)

Maybe I'll do it later then after all. I may want to instead get to the next Otokojuku fight anyway so I can finish that phase of the match. (been stuck for a while not doing the series to get through a swag of Kinnikuman, in particular just before a boss fight...so I guess I'll try to get to finish that instead of doing that weird recap/what-if thing)

Chapter 294: You have to kind of feel sorry for the kids who submitted Big Body's team...
http://www.megalopuad.coc/?d=SELE5QD0

Now I'm curious if there's a Japanese site or something that tries to track down the kids who submitted the characters in this series. I kind of wonder what they'd have to say about how their characters were used in the story.

I'd imagine whoever submitted Vikingman was happy with what happened to him (He was used by Yude as Akuma Shogun).

Also, why the hell was Mammothman fighting in the first place if he was planning on faking his loss?

They no longer care, they hate Yude or they got depressed over the usage of their character.

The artist who submitted Fiona should be proud of making the first female Chojin who fought in more then three pages of panels. That's an accomplishment considering fem characters are mostly used when Mantaro is turned into a punching bag.

At least they're probably happy compared to all the kids who actually got theirs on a cover page and used for nothing...or the tons who never got any of their Choujin in the series. (besides, the only ones that we actually know of were kid submissions were Pinchman and Leopardon; unless they never were revealed, Golemman and Cannonballer never seemed to have a kid tied to them) Heck, considering the Big Body team all even has professional-style models/toys at this point, I say those four are probably ecstatic that the Big Body team is still remembered even today.

Actually no: St. Seiya began the first issue of '86, we're still in '85. If you want Saint Seiya, wait until we get deep into '86/'87.

Wait, really? My mistake.

Chapter 296: The pastor thing was nice and all, but Brocken Jr. could have probably done it quicker by using that Loyalty-and-Betrayal thing he learned from The Ninja to switch places with the robber.

Uh... Okay, I thought The Ninja died after the fight with Brocken Junior? (Not that I mind, I like The Ninja)

Also, "He saved a kid, thus, he's a good guy!"

... And when did Ashuraman become a good guy? Wasn't it more like, "I really, really, really, REALLY hate the Kanpekis!"?

It probably was something akin to:

Asuraman: Kaaaa~-kakakaka! Foolish Justice Supermen! Did you really think I was on your side?! I just wanted to see those Perfect Supermen defeated!
Kinnikuman, Terryman, Robin Mask (complete with mask now, as it's all of them after the match now), Meat, Brocken. Jr, etc.: Reeeeeeeeaaaaaalllllyyyyyyy?
Asuraman: Yes! I'm not one of you now! >O<
Kinnikuman, et al: REAAAAALLLLLYYYYY? *big puppy eyes*
Asuraman: T_T Fine! I'm one of you guys!
Kinnikuman, et al: Yay!

Former resident song translator, and as a result, probably the distant, insignificant relative of the translation family on this board.

Update (7/1/2012 [7th Jan]) - Years away can calm a mind down quite well. I don't think of myself as some maligned martyr of the site. Rather it's just that I was unfortunately caught by the mudslinging of a rather unpleasant (and unprofessional) translator, who didn't like people taking the spotlight away from him, particularly if they happened to actually be able to properly translate work, as opposed to him. Nevertheless, despite the fact that all my work was my own, I got constantly accused of plagiarism, thanks to this unpleasant individual constantly saying how I stole his work. (When rather, it was going to end up being the other way round.)

I'm a lot more forgiving about the whole ideal, with how I ended up getting treated on this forum, as a result of this incident, but at the same time, I am still not in any mind to come back and join in again, nor will I uplaod any more of my translation work on here. This includes any of my old work, or my newer and much more accurate work. Some may see this as being petty, spiteful or based off an old grudge, and you may be right. However, I thought I'd explain things a little.

He did die: remember he was also in Ashuraman's Hell Canvas in the Tag arc like all the other dead Devil Choujin. They never explain one word as to how Ninja got out aside from the assumptions we have, including that stupid Life Ball ordeal that was introduced in this arc.

I don't think there was anything wrong with Soldier's "Pastor" bit...except the fact that he suddenly painted his no-sleeve vest and it turned into a long pastor robe with sleeves. That was just a simple bizarre Kinnikuman WTF moment you have to be used to by this point in the game. Besides, wouldn't Brocken (or even Ninja, for that matter) really need to approach the crook in a way to not hurt the kid so they can use "Loyalty-and-Betrayl at Will Jutsu"? For all we know, if they switch places, the crook would be in an even better place to kill him. Therefore the need I guess for approaching the crook without raging him to the point of killing the hostage.

Oh god, Kenni's little fic blurb and the combination of reading too many HiimDaisy comics made me do this:

Ataru: I need a disguise!
Brocken: What will we do?!
Ataru: I will paint myself a robe and wear it!
Brocken: ...what-
Ataru: A PAINTING I WILL GO! *makes robe*
Brocken: ................THIS COMIC DOESN'T MAKE SENSE!! *loud sobs*
