hi to all i am italian, excused my English, I wanted to know as to unlock the characters in this game. why even if I end the arcade mode or the story mode they do not give no characters to me. they appear of the black shapes, I press circle and I go ahead but it does not unlock them.

hi there welcome to this board I'm italian too so I'm happy to help you, this game is a little tedious as to how to unlock characters, some of them are very hidden and u need to do particular things in order to unlock them, anyway tell me what characters u wanna unlock, I suggest you beat the 2 storymodes first with the true story (like seen on the manga/anime) then beat the arcade mode with king muscle and stecase king is unlocked, for further help u can find me on msn messenger (if u use it) at this address: pandaman1978@hotmail.com, if u don't use msn messenger just tell me here how u beat the first story mode cuz u need to choose the right characters for certain matches, lemme know.

Thanks for the welcome! Do you speak italian?, I have finished both story mode in coverallses the ways, and arcade with Jegar and the sunshine, but not even the shadow of an unlocked personage.

In case no one noticed, Scarface can use the Number Cruncher on Kinniku Mantaro. I think it won't work on Kinnikuman, unless you're using Buffaloman.

exactly, the only characters able to counter LV9 moves are:

suguru: ashura buster
buffaloman: suguru's kinnikubuster
eskara: mantaro's kinnikubuster
ramenman: brocken Jr's camel clutch
Akuma shogun: suguru's kinnikudriver

Too bad Kevin Mask is not able to counter any of mantaro's moves in this game, even tho he's supposed to block all his special moves except for the muscle gravity.

the mountain splash is the most powerful LV9 signature move I've seen so far in the game, in most of the case it's an instant killing

again barrier freeman has 2 more LV3 moves who are not shown in the video, this guy always leave out some moves

play survival mode until the survival gauge reaches 4 then try again to beat the arcade mode with warsman, let me know

One other thing though - When I toggle the difficulty and damage settings they don't seem to alter the game at all.

What do the numbers stand for in difficulty? eg 2 or 1500.
And is the damage percent for both CPU and computer or one or the other?

2 is easy 1500 is hard, if you've noticed in hard difficulty your moves are often countered unlike when you play at 2, that's the only difference I've encountered, as for the damage ratio I suggest you set it to 80% thus characters can take a more damage (not enough anyway).

nope, they don't unlock anything

either a mod chip or swapmagic, I personally use swapmagic, so I haven't torn the console apart and haven't broken the seal.

OK, sorry to bump, but I just got the game. I have no idea how to unlock the following:

- Checkmate (got his silouette when I beat arcade with Sunshine)
- Scarface (his siliouette camenup when I beat Arcade with Buffaloman)
- Geromino (got his silouette when I completed the Mask story)
- Illuyhin
- Barrierfreeman
- Benkiman
- Akumashogun
- Ataru

I think that's everyone I'm missing. I have the defaults and all of the Akuma Choujin (save Akuma)
