Everybody out here gets my credits to start with as I value everybody out here and of course the history of a member is something to keep in mind as well, so again I'm sure I would've been less direct in my first posts when I'd knew it concerned Venom because I even had contact with him until a couple of weeks before this showed up and he looked like a cool guy to me, nothing wrong. BUT we didn't know he was listing them in the beginning which is an important issue here because in relation to the Ebay account which we were not able to connect to him, if I remember correct also you Jon were not able to clearify this, so the chances of being it an actuall scam were pretty plausible.
Looking at Venom's history out here I'm a newbie compared to him so its quite clear I'll become the chased dog in this scenario where the old members are backing him up, and this certainly is something I can appreciate as well as this is only showing the strenght of the community. But based on the experience I've been able to develop in this short period of time and the amount of laser beast guns I've had in my hands and the topics concerning those repro's that I've been following closely from the beginning I can only tell that based on the pics I would never have placed a bid on them. And this is exactly the message I've been sharing here because I'm really strict when it comes to pieces in my personal collection and it wouldn't feel right to ignore this without alarming other collectors who might go all in on those thinking they're legit guns. One way or another whether we accept it or not but IF these repro guns do get accepted as such or are by mistake recognised as legit guns and do end up in the BB and LB collections we'll regret we've let it come that far because there is no way back than. So its crucial that even with the slightest doubts, which were cleary a bit more than just doubts in this case, we've to stand up and protect out commmunity of BB/LB collectors and don't accept poor pics or explanations that can be busted with clear facts.
OK, let's say its about the pics................ even though they are all made individually reducing the chance of the absence of marbling on lets say 15 Silver guns (not sure how many exactly were silver) to almost zero than its up to you Jon to come up with real clear pics and even side by side shots with the own legit guns you have to prove it because with this gesture you made it also means your the one who'll be judging for the sake of the BB/LB collectors. I trust you like I trust Venom and everyone else here out on the board but in this particular case with all the facts around it which can be twisted in all kinda ways clear side by side pics can be the only evidence.
Remaining ar two final questions;
Why would you hang on to repro lasers if you end up selling your collection, because if I ever would be in the same position and somehow feel like I might start again someday those rare lasers would for sure be the items that would end up boxed and stored, but maybe that's just me.....?
How plausible is it when a collector tells you he hates fakes and reproductions while his ebay history is telling a different story?
I've been judging the pics from the beginning, not a person or a reputation so I shared my opinion and the clear facts which were out in the open and related to those in favor of protecting the community which we're all part of taking my responsibillity. So guess now I'm the target to be judged because its clear Venom did nothing wrong.
