You should have received emails explaining the process for members. I received two last night, one telling me to prepare for member store hours, and the second giving me a member code to access store. Check your email account(s).

 

You've still got time. I received the following at 8:42 PM last night:

 

Hello Club Mordle member!

Soon, we embark on a great journey. The Mordles are once again on the move - into your collections!
I can't tell you how long I've been waiting for this day.

So, what do you have to do?
Later tonight, you'll receive an e-mail containing the location of the club store and your log-in information.
There's a special message waiting for each of you when you log in to the site concerning the membership packet, and then it's on to the Club store.
For this particular drop, the limits are TWO OF EACH PACK. Yes, that is right - you can buy two Standard and two Crawler edition packs, if desired.
You may only make one purchase from the store, so take your time and consider things carefully. Any attempt to make a purchase over the listed limits will not be honored.
The store opens at midnight June 17th EST (Sunday-into-Monday).
It closes on June 23rd at 9 pm EST.
No product will be held for club members beyond that time.
If you have any issues with your log-in or during the process, please shoot an e-mail to feedback@toyfinity.com and we'll resolve it as soon as possible!

Oh, I didn't realise this was kicking off so soon. It's not too late to get in on this is it?

 

Has the cost of shipping to UK been finalised? And will customs values be... uh, "creatively manipulated" to keep them below the £15 above which we get taxed through the arse?

I'll take one of you up on that, traded with you both in the past so I'm happy working through either. It'll be end of the week before I've got funds free to place my order so there's time to work out some details and I'm happy to combine a package with Stronium's stuff and sort that out at this end if everybody's up for that. Only complications I can see are letting John know that this is how we're handling orders so it doesn't look like we're trying to get around the order limits and a potential complication if the store is set to default to our addresses as per paypal, I'll see Friday morning what the interface is like for that.

 

Stronium, if you've not set up your membership yet and are only after one of each set we could put them both through mine this time since John's said the limit for this batch is going to be 2 of each set rather than the 1 of each he'd talked about previously.

Will do, I'll message him over at OT since he's on there more often. He did suggest using a friendly US address when I asked about shipping earlier in this thread so hopefully shouldn't be a problem. Will give you a shout when I get a green light.

I truly hate what has happened to the shipping game between the US and the rest of the world.

Things are supposed to be cheaper in the future, not more ridiculous.

As others have mentioned, I can't do anything about the cost of shipping outside the US. I'd love to find a good solution, honestly.

I've been selling extra toys on eBay for years, and a Chinese buyer took me for $300 a couple years back (or legitimately, their package was stolen). As such, I no longer cheap ship to anyone outside the US.

 

I'm looking at other options. BigBad has a "pile of loot" option that seems to work well for some buyers. I may institute something similar in the future.

Or similarly, a few years back, I was hit with a rash of buyers who all had me shipping to the same address in California, which turned out to be a 3rd party buyer for Japanese collectors. If anyone has a good, secure, trackable option, I'm willing to listen. But I'm never going to allow a PayPal chargeback for an item where I can't track it.
