I actually wanted them & forgot to clear them prior... But both the site & jkaris said to empty your cart prior, but ramifications of not doing so weren't listed. Curious if I've lost my order. Maybe I'm being foolish in this questioning... But what will happen?
Oh no. You won't lose your order.
You did want them? If you paid for them, they will send them.
Cart clearing is for the guys who had stuff in there that they changed their mind about and never cleared.
OR its full of stuff from their last order that they did pay for.
PayPal had not been clearing carts after people had checked out and paid.
If the details of the paypal transaction are the items you wanted, you're all good.
If you want to see why you should clear your cart.
Go to the onell store and click add to cart on an item and see what's in it.
Mine showed the item I added and the items I had just checked out and paid for.

Awesome! (now that I've made a fool of myself
) Thanks man. Apologies to everyone else thats had to hear this banter...
Stoked!
Make sure to send Matt an email letting him know that all is good.
Clear your cart now, just in case you forget for the next drop.
I have a hard time finding the cart button.
So I just add an item, my cart pops up and I clear it from there.

Tonight was the first time I had an issue with not emptying my cart. I went to place the first vor in there and saw everything from last drop sitting there. And I ordered a TON of crap last drop. Luckily the delay only cost me the carded figure, but I love playing around with these so no big deal. I was surprised to see the limit set at 3 for the vors. That blue one is effing amazing and I really wish they'd do a whole drop in that color.
That blue is amazing.
I'm totally crushing on the ivory, black and powder blue Armorvor.
He looks like Transformers Jazz.
I think the orange Armorvor is going to look a lot different once he is in hand.
I saw a pic of it and it really is orange, I think I hope.
Matt's pics aren't really showing it.
Totally psyched to get the Dark Traveler.
Glitter infused and pearl, to cool.

Get it while it's hot, folks!
http://www.ebay.ca/i...e-/200977617171For the record, this isn't me.
I guess Battle Beast collectors don't report Armorvor auctions that keyword spam with "Battle Beast." It is funny that there are still some flippers out there that haven't noticed what this year's figures sell for. You might eventually get someone to pay double the retail price after an Armorvor is sold out, but not over triple the price.

Oh yeah, that's not so bad, but for international bidders, it hella sucks.

For a fig that was sold by Onell last night, 35.00 is pretty steep.
Anyone looking for these Armorvors, please wait.
The price will come down.

It's one of the dominating reasons I'm no longer collecting this stuff. If I miss a drop so help me god. I don't like being told when I have to buy things either. The over-all community loves to price gouge like this.
They're amazing toys, just not for me.
I wouldn't say the over-all community.
A small increase is acceptable. The reseller waited for them to come up and was there when they were sold.
There should be a price for conveniently buying them when you choose to buy them if you are unwilling or unable to get them when they are first offered.
If you join the community at the place the community is at, you'd find that they do help each other.
They aren't telling you when you have to buy, but they do notify people of new stuff and sometimes they sell out fast.
Consider it a restocking.

So what's the story with the that grey/glitter Crayboth? I didn't see him for sale, so I'm assuming he's just a freebie for this drop, but I also didn't have a chance to get an order in until about 3 hours after the drop began so I guess it could have sold out before I got to the store.
Can anyone confirm>?

Onell was definitely selling some clear gray Crayboth, but maybe it didn't have glitter in it.

It was definitely for sale, but was the quickest sellout I've seen on a Crayboth. Maybe some of the stock was set aside as freebies and only a limited number were in the store. The 3 Armorvor drop last year included a clear Crayboth that was in the store, but also thrown in for free with the orders.
I'd wait until you get your order before trying to work out a deal to buy or trade for one.

The problem is, drops are limited to specific numbers. I understand he doesn't want to sit on products, so I get that. It just makes it hard to get stuff if you miss it like Jeremy said, without paying through the teeth for it. I think the cheapest I've seen armorvors go for on Ebay was $20.
Again, all hobbies have price gougers. I just personally feel like this one has way too many. Due to the limitations it was unlikely I'd be able to find some on secondary markets, (at cost or reasonably priced). Above and beyond that, I just hated that I had to make sure I was ready at a specific time, with a good chunk of change ready to be spent in order to make it worth my time. Anybody here who has dealt with me financially knows I like to do lots of small purchases over large ones.
Matt is a great guy and he is doing some awesome things with his toys. He is very reasonable and offers his stuff for the lowest prices he can, I'm sure. I've just grown to dislike the business model of "Drops," and the secondary market has not in any way made things better.
I've got my Black/red armorvor and crayboth, and also my infection vor and cray to boot. I'm happy with that.

Missing a drop is only bad if you feel that missing a drop is bad.
If I miss something I won't pay over the odds for it on the secondary market.
Nobody that comes to my house is gonna know that I don't have a certain figure.
I think that the perception of way too many scalpers is because there are so few non scalpers selling their collection.
The guys that collect glyos tend to keep them. The only people selling are the scalpers.
You won't see ads on ebay from parents cleaning out their closet when little Johnny left for college and left behind his childhood toys.
I don't know what other business model Matt could use in place of the drop.
Onell is very particular about product quality, so pre-orders won't work because he would have to ship out the items he got from the factory even if they were subpar.
OR face the angry mob If he sent refunds on the pre-order.
BTW-Completed ebay listings shows several Armorvors that ended for 10-15 each.
.
The bulk of the Glyos community isn't here. Finding people that could help ya isn't hard if ya went to the place that they're at.
I only buy one of each fig for my personal collection, so I could grab a fig or 2 for a guy that couldn't make the drop.

I agree that the drops are a bit difficult to deal with and i miss out on figures because of them and would prefer something different but there is no other option for them at the moment. If you read the blog posts it's pretty clear that they are totally financially invested in every single one. If one was just too big and no one bought anything the entire line could possibly die. They up numbers seemingly every time so less people miss out but that means it gets even more dangerous for them. Hell one giant paypal problem that wasn't even Onells fault seemed to almost crush them. Taking all that into consideration i am fine with the drops especially since every time i order they give me a free figure. I hope they get bigger and bigger and end up being able to support a constant stock but even if they don't they still have my support both morally and financially.
Draz if you ever need help just ask. I only ever order one of whatever i like so i could piggyback for you easy and you wouldn't need to be around at the time.

I only ever said I disliked the business model. I understand why it is the way it is, and I definitely don't fault him for it. I don't have to like it though.

Thanks, man! But as stated I'm dropping the stuff from my collection already. Just keeping my faves at this point.

Totally get it. I don't actually like it either but sometimes my stuff drops the exact same way. Often one toy needs to pay for the next.

I think drops are just as necessary for the Glyos collectors as they are for the business. A lot of people spend a lot of money on each release. It takes planning and budgeting of a collector's time and money to be ready for new figures. I'm one of many that have put figures up in my sale/trade thread or listed them on ebay in advance of a drop to help pay for the next release. If figures were added to the store at random, you would see a lot more complaints about the lack of warning than you would complaints about the drop nature of the releases.
Drop night discussions are a big part of the community. Each drop is an event we look forward to. I understand that most casual collectors don't like it, but I think the people that spend almost all of their collecting budget on the Glyos lines will always want that advance warning of when something new will be available.
