I wasn't condoning Cower's comment, just trying to explain why I thought he may have made it. And if you see my previous post, you'll see that I agree that having a team "take it easy" on another team is worse than "running up the score" on them.

Just wanted to be clear on where I stand!

:D

:D I know you weren't condoning Cower, but merely looking for a reason as to why he said that...sorry if my post displayed different. B)

See, I figured Belichik was "Breaking the unspoken code", because it was done to him when he got ratted out.
Just my personal belief, but perhaps he figures "Since that is all that code is worth to them, that is all it is worth to me."

"Make me look the fool, the same shall be done to you."
Eye for an eye.

Yes, I think that is exactly what's happening. And I think another "unwritten" is don't go after quarterbacks... which is why Cower is suggesting that's coming next. orb for tat.

Like I said, i think it may get worse before it gets better. :(

It's kind of like baseball when the pitcher throws at a batter. Ugly, but sometimes you gotta do, what you gotta do.

To run up points is one thing, but part of being a professional is not HARMING people when you don't have to.
This might just transcend neurotic pissing contests, and land right next to psychotic delusions of grandeur.
I think Belichick might even see himself as some sort of kingpin of football.
Sad, really.

I'm a Skins fan and a season ticket holder. I had no problems with the Pats scoring over 50 on them. These are professionals. If you don't want them to score then stop them. What I was disappointed in is how the Skins D reacted. If the opposing coach is leaving his starting QB in the game in the 3rd and 4th quarter to try and run up the score on you then you take an unnecessary roughness penalty and body slam Brady to the turf after a play is dead and knock him out of the game. The coach will think twice about leaving in his starter that late in a game while up that big. Oh well, if only the Pats were playing the Raiders from the 70's. Brady would have been in a body cast.

Two words:

Jack Lambert

Ol' 58 would be drinking beer from Brady's hollowed out skull by now.

:o

Nachoz, I'm with you as far as not being a fan of the Pats.

However, Jim Nance, one of the announcers, is a HUGE Colts and Payton fan, so he def is NOT an ignorant Patriot fan.

Yeah, they did. They had a franchise record 150+ penalty yards, not to mention Brady's two picks. But they won, because they are just that freaking good.

No what I meant by writing that was when he caught a 54yd pass to shift the momentum back to the Winners today.
Funny how Colts fans only see what they want.
I love all Patriots Haters it makes every win so much better.
Pats 9-0
Colts 7-1
It is what it is.

Funny how low your sarcasm meter is.
Prolly should get that checked out.
Anyway we'll see what happens. It's not like the superbowl or anything. I'd like to see the colts VS. pats in a super bowl sometime. Not this time though. I hope the colts make it to the superbowl

And i'm not a patriot hater. They're one of my favorite teams. ^_^
Colts are my first though so I will do some hating now and then.

The patriots celebrated after the game like they won the superbowl, that victory was enough for them. They won't beat the colts again.
There was bad calls and things that should have been called for both teams that weren't. Pretty bad refs imo.

Unfortunately, that will never happen as they are in the same division. One will always get eliminated before the bowl. ^_^

The Pats killed themselves on those penalties!! <_< And yet they managed to get the "W" good job Pats.

My Bills are now .500!!! Not that the bengals were tough, we could've been 5-3 had our special teams not given up the on-side against the Cowgirls.... and 6-2 had we actually played defense in the last quarter against the Broncos when they beat us on a last second field goal....unless we keep winning we wont be in the playoffs for the 8th straight year....
B)

And what about that Adrian Petersen!!!! Ladanian who??? Jokes, I love L.T. but damn did Adrian Petersen rip it up...he must still be pissed from his fiesta bowl loss to my BSU!!

...and.... THE DENVER BRONCOS GOT C-R-U-S-H-E-D!!! How sweet it is...

Yeah, that kid is something special. I was enjoying watching him run... even when it was against the Eagles defense. B) I expect great things from him in the future. He's the kind of player you can build a team around.

Yeah, it was nice to see the Bills beat up on the Bungals. The Browns beat Seattle in a very excellent game that probably no one besides Browns and Seahawks fans watched because it was on at the same time as Pats/Colts. I'm surprised that wasn't the Sunday night game or Monday night game.

Agreed. Anything would have better than watching McNabb and the Eagles fumble on the very first play of a game that was all down hill from there. B)
