I'm returning to MUSCLE / Kinnikuman world after a while away. I am really excited to see the 418 piece re-release as well. Those few new figures (kannin, kinkeshiman, etc.) look equally incredible. My question for someone is this: How do you go about obtaining these figures on the YJP auctions and such? I've tried to "translate this page" with little effect. Do you have to find sellers who speak English? Any currency issues? Any help would be appreciated- I would love to get my hands on these new figures.
Thanks, any tips / pointers would be greatly appreciated!

You can pick them up on eBay right now. There's an auction going for $399 right now, and a BIN price of $499. They're a bit pricey, but if you want the entire collection in one shot, it's your best bet.

It looks like that 418 set doesn't include the new figures of Kannin or Kinkeshiman, but I did see some of those guys listed on YJP. I need a better translator (or a ticket to Japan and my own personal guide).

I already have a complete set of the orignal non-US kinkeshis, but figured for the price it'd be cool to have the whole anniversary collection!

Its also cool to see that the Kinkeshi are obviously very different from the originals, I'm sure someone could still pass them off as the real deal on eBay, but once in hand there is no chance of getting them mixed unknowingly into your collection of originals.
Now I need to find a cheap region free DVD player... I may not understand Japanese, but I'll still enjoy watching the cartoons

Now I need to find a cheap region free DVD player
You can always watch any region dvd on your computer using VLC.
As long as you open it with the program, it bypasses all the nonsense of region codes.
And if you absolutely must watch them on a television that is not hooked up to a computer, you can always rip the files from the disc and burn them to a region free dvd, assuming your dd player plays dvd-r format discs.

Awesome! Thanks for that information.

the anime also features Whiny Brunette Freak(also know as Mari)as the main love interest of Suguru instead of Bibinba..........

On the negative side, something like this shows how much Toei cares about Nisei. Meaning that don't give a rat's arse about giving Nisei fans what they want. (Yes, I'm a scorned fanboy, weep for me. >/)
Oh well, STILL WANT!!

This would be a fun set to have, and well worth the money, but I just can't afford it. I couldn't justify a toy purchase that big.
I just got a set for 350 complete with DVD's.

not that it wouldn't be worth it. When you consider just what you're getting (Especially the non US Sculpts). But if I had $350 to spend on Kinnikuman toys, I think I'd focus on my US MUSCLE set first and foremost.
