I messaged the person with the belt on eBay and they changed the pic after I asked if they had the reverse colored figures. I would have bought the first one had I known they had both!

I thought the exact same thing.  Hopefully they will show up at a discount retailer.  Or maybe they will show up with the European release. Who knows.

Was there any kind of checklist or promo material inside?  Anything giving the names of those 2 new characters?  Any pics would be cool.

Just today, I got this message from a Moose customer service rep:

"The Mutant Mania Battle Belt was not released in Australia or the USA.  There are no plans for it to be available for sale."

That's all he had to say.

I completed my MM collection (sans the Belt sets) last week, all 120 base figures and the 5 arena/vehicle figures.

Thank you to all who traded with me!

I also found this sweet old Rawcliffe Fantasy display case at an antique store last weekend. Some of you might remember seeing these cases in the shopping mall filled with pewter dragons and wizards.

Anyway, here's what a complete Mutant Mania set looks like...

That will look great once they are all up and in place. Have fun playing unintentional dominoes for the next few hours. I just did that with some mimp and two detolf cases. Gratz on finishing up. Glad I could help you get that last elusive figure. Still working on some loose ends in my set.

lol thanks Steve!
I've also completed a second set in the process and I've listed it on eBay just to see if anyone bites. I find the fandom (or lack there of) of Mutant Mania a bit mysterious.

Well, these guys have finally made it to England and are on the shelves for some fair chunks of change! Ironic really as you can probably pick them up for peanuts over in the US and Canada. The wait, coupled with the price means that despite really liking this line, I won't be getting anymore.

This is like the case with like 70% of toy lines in the UK though unless there made here though.

£10 for 8 figures doesn't seem unreasonable to me. Certainly no more expensive than the price of US clearance stock plus shipping.

Exactly its not like its Hasbro levels of bad in rip off prices like asking £7 for 4cm transformer though a few years back they was only a reasonable £3 yet the around £10 Transformers are the same size and price still. The transfomers construct bot series by them was like this too £7 for the smallest ones £10 for the larger ones, the £20+ ones was exact same size as £10 ones just with like 10+ or less extra parts they do this exact same thing with the mash ems line.

I really hope hasbro don't screw up the Youkai watch mini figure line after all they did with the pokemon one in the late 90s by not bringing out all the figures.

Kinda surprised the mutant mania 8 packs was not Argos exclusives after all all the large packs for the trash pack where except fighting trashies series 1 and 2.

1. 10 GBP = 14.60 USD.  So, barely higher when they are not on sale.  Besides, they are an Australian product anyway.

2. You have all of us here for trading.  There are at least ten UK/EU only toylines that I have been trying to acquire.

3. Keep your eye out for that Battle Belt.

4. Keep your eye out for the Limited Editions.  A second character (Space Cowboy) has turned up on ebay.  Another Canadian pull.*  Not one LE turned up in US stock.  Not one. So, it stands to reason, that they saved the bulk of them for you guys.

5. By the way, Mutant Mania is done and dusted in the US.  TRU has just a few playsets left that they cannot move.  Other retailers that carried The Trash Pack (Target, Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Walgreens, etc) did not bother with Mutant Mania at all.

* the user with the LE is called gothamcat001... this seems really familiar to me -- maybe this was a user here who changed his username?

£10 seems a lot when you think about how many packs you need to buy to go for a set, plus how many doubles of certain common figures you'd end up with whilst doing it. Like I said, I've always thought the figures were cool, even when others didn't, but the excitement has passed for me now since seeing everyone overseas getting there's. I'm thinking how many great vintage and Indi figures I could get for the price of five of those 8-packs.

Awesome Juggy!! I love where you display them as well!

When you guys are talking about the "Battle Belt" are you talking about the rampage arena?

Edit: ok so my internet finally shows the picture of the Belt set: another arena but smaller. Never heard of this one before. I'm gonna check if they have any tomorrow at TU, but it is quit weird that no one have seen this set yet.....
