Hey all, I'm Malosavich and had nearly the whole Mini-Boglin Collection as a child, and have recently started collecting again, there are a whole load that I need, and was wandering if anyone would be intrested in swapping/selling a few. I have also managed to find and purchase a few un-opened (1991 I think) Boxes of 5 mini-boglins. These are the Blind boxes so I have no Idea what is inside them. I've ordered them and They should arrive towards the end of next week. Lastly, any update likely to the MBCIA site? because the idea and current look of it are awesome!

malosavich: i wouldent open the boxes if i were you, the wont have any gitd, prehistorics, samurai or much else rare in so keep em closed anuthing that came in a 5 blind box can be got fairly easliy.let me know if there is anything particular you need to get hold of an i will try to help u out.

Liz Sherman: "candle dude" from the cool dudes is actually melting ice cream, all of the cool dudes are cold related but based on the full size minis. hr is actually based on one which is a melting candle. have you got all the kellogs ones u want now, if not i literally have hundreds of kelloggs mini boglins.

petewright: i rekon i would pay £10 for a lot like that. the problem is that mini boglin boxes say that gold cheifs and silver cheifs are rare and valuable but thats not true. bear in mind that bind 20 boxes came with a a gitd scout guranteed and certian sculpts are rarer than others . but mini boglins are not like m.u.s.c.l.e.s there arent loads of realy rare ones and also the market is alot smaller. with a lower demand rare figures dont actually have that high a value. u often see putting single mini boglins for 2 or 3 quid on ebay but they wont sell.

so with black, gold and silver being not rare at all and gitd just being uncommon samurai are fairly rare. mini bolgins in slime (blue/yellow) are rare (unless ur evil okoro) and "gold kelloggs" are the very rarest.

i have one pink and one orange mini boglin in slime but they are the only ones i know that anyone has so i dont really know how rare they are. i really hope that green ones do exist!

perlok isnt form rare dudes and wont be blue, do u mean you have a blue cheif drox?

no! gold kelloggs are illegal. if you do have any they should be posted to me straight away for inspection.

a terrible felon called evil okoro appears to have aquired two and will not hand them in, he will face execution if caught.

i would suggets if anyone is looking for gold kelloggs mini boglins they might find ninja mites more interesting.

I need to get some more Mini Boglins again. I've sort of fallen out of the loop recently due to being too poor, but there are still a good few I haven't got yet. I'll get around to posting my doubles for swaps at some point as well.
It's nice to see this thread come back to life again too!

hey Captian good to see ur about, it probably dies every now and then coz ppl with big collections (myslef included) are to lazy to take the needed photos for the colour archive. if ur gonna post ur doubles u should post ur needs too so ppl can look out for you.

there seems to be a few ppl looking to complete thier sets be it the original 36, certain tribes or the whole lot so could help each other out.

If people still want a full colour archive, I would be happy to take individual pics of my collection once I've organised it and post those, that way other people can start taking photos of the no-doubt numerous colour variants that I'm missing.

Just let me know if this would be good.

I'm not dead!! well not yet...

imho we should organize which tribes came in which colors first, and then start collecting pics, but heck, even start collecting pics for the database to use later would be good.

here is the layout I've coded some months ago, it accepts different colors for each tribe as well as scan of the cards and it displays the phrase that describes the boglin (look at the greedies for an example pic)
I put some colors that should exist, but I could be wrong, please correct me!

I miss the colors for the army guys, disgustings, medievals and prehistorics

Haha, is this going to bring us around to the "yellow", "light yellow", "even lighter yellow" debate again? :p
I agree, though, an attempt should be made to work out what tribes came in what colours, and define the differences in colours between tribes, like the red that most of them seem to be compared to the red that the Prehistorics came in, or the multitude of yellows, hehehe.
From there it might even be possible to work out some Mini Boglins that should come in a certain colour that no one has reported yet (like if one Boglin came in 10 colours, and another one was found in 9 of those colours, it might be reasonable to assume that it came in the tenth colour as well...)
However, this is all just thinking out loud from me, really, there might have been absolutley no pattern to what colours certain Mini Boglins came in and I'm just putting far too much thought into it! :D
It would still be interesting to know what Boglins came in what colours, though. Maybe we should all go through our collections and list what ones we have in what colours, a bit like the muscle colour archive thingy. It would be a big job (I only have about 230 different mini Boglins just now and it would take me ages, think about people with really huge collections!), but it would probably be worth it.
That's the end of my mind wandering for just now, hehehe. B)

Has someone actually created a list of all the colours that they were known to come in? Not which colours specific boglins came in, but all the colours available. If someone has, can I please have a link because I'm having real trouble deffretiating between, yellow/dark yellow/light yellow/neon yellow/yellow ochre.... etc etc etc....

Is it just me or are different tribes deffinatly colour heavy in different ways, I havn't looked into it fully yet, but from sorting through the 300 or so I've done so far it's certainly seeming that the army guys are yellow/orange heavy, and the disgustings are grey/olive green heavy. It could be coincidental, but I am intrested in seeing how this pans out.

I already sorted my boglins by colour - I did it with massive and cumbersome tables which are kind of big and ugly.

I put premium colours as a seperate section because I got lazy about differentiating between the colours with different colours, lol

i havent created a list but i have a pretty good idea of whats available in certain colours.

its one of them things thats in your head but never seems to get comitted to paper.

i really dont know about yellow in particular though it just seems as if now two yello ones are the same.

maybe if somone asks the godbeast if its possible that colours of certain toys can vary even if they are from one production process that might help.

i also wonder if certian colours are just fu cking mega light sensitive, and perhaps the pigment is realy prone to degrading in time and by light then that might account for the massive variation in colours (yellow in particular)
i rember somthing about photo-dissiociation (i cant spell) from studying chemistry.

talking about colour heavy, mediavals, why so pink!

it is likely the discustings will be heavy on certain colours due to them being the shortist living tribe (after the first tribes and retired before the medievals) there of course is lots of the cheif in other colours (think drox of the top of my head may be wrong) as he is also included in the rare dudes (which werent rare) aand so will have benefited from the later colours (i bets you have him in light blue) same goes for other rare dudes members.

what gets me is the abundance of the tough guys chief with the catapult with a crown in light blue... he was retired but still produced lated... i wonder if italy got diffrent colours at diffrent times too.

has anyone got any mini boglins they are sure to be italian? i opened one of my single figs bags and it was the luminous green so thats the only colour i know they had for sure.

Sorry my Digital camera is on the fritz, but when it's working again I'll post some pics, I also had trouble intially, I thought I had a couple of chiefs in dark green (Dark angel green if you know the warhammer paints) but I believe that it is actually gold. Me being colour blind really doesn't help, I'm regularly asking my better half what she thinks the colour is.

Thanks for the websight Airot That'll be a great help. I've got 6 un-opened blind 5 packs of mini-boglins that are deffinatly from italy, I couldn't resist but open one and the colours I found were as follows:
Boik--Purple
Blarf--Bright Red
Stog--Bright Yellow
Plag--Luminous Green
Chief Trog--Bright Orange.

Hope that helps
