Nice uoozuman!!! Funny enough, that the same MUSCLE sculpt I modified for Smash tokyo Toys!

And hey all you other MUSCLE heads guys! I've been away for a while, but I'm back!

I submitted a couple designs for the Mad Joe Collab project, and he's told me they'll be in the 'second wave' to be released! Sweet! In the meantime, I'm still offering up plenty of M.U.S.C.L.E. guys in my new shop - and ESPECIALLY now, because I just got back from WOndercon and have a bundle of stuff - including a TGB collaboration project - AWESOME!

MAD JOE will be doing my original Cupcake Luchador in his collab,as well as a mash up I did for my Friend Matty of Smash Tokyo Toys. Here's a couple pics ;-) Check the 'sales' section for the TGB stuff and more :woot: :woot: :woot:

I couldn't wait. I roughed out a picture of the guy at work today:

Posted Image

with the original line, I always thought guys like Sunshine, and King the 100 Ton gave you just a little more for your money. They were the heavyweights, the big guns. I wanted a figure that paid homage to that, but kept with the fun theme of M.U.S.C.L.E.

it pays homage in a big way. Even to guys like Parthenon, and Mixer Taite! Just a cool, strange guy, who wouldn't seem out-of-place in a regular M.U.S.C.L.E. Fourpack!

Plus, it'll be a pretty easy custom to do. I think I'm gonna try to find a way to texture the sides a little. If my plans for sculpting/constructing the custom work out, It should be a very cool, very fun figure!

I'll post updates as the figure gets under construction!

and yes, the spelling is correct, it's Pyramydo, not Pyramido, even though they're called the Pyramids. ;)

first thing before I even read it I imagined it in a 28 pack.. it's super muscley..

Hey guys, been away too long.

What fantastic creations! Even if this project never comes to completion, all this creativity will still enrich the community.

Wish I had an iota of sculpting skill to make my digital models solid :)

I came across this stuff called apoxie sculpt I haven't ordered any but it seems like it could be pretty darn good. I don't have an iota of sculpting either, but I'm startin to crack my head out of my shell and I'll probably order some of this stuff.. I'll let you know how it goes

I got word back this week that my Nama King figure will be included in the second series of the Mad Collaboration Project :drinks:

Just as that news happened, another funny custom M.U.S.C.L.E. opportunity presented itself...

I was attending an art exhibit last night (while wearing my Mishka Muscle Hoodie) when one of the artists came up to me and mentioned how much he liked M.U.S.C.L.E.. He said he had been wanting to do a project to cast M.U.S.C.L.E. figures in various kinds of Bronze, but didn't know where he could find any.....

I immediately offered to drop off some figures at his studio today, and now it looks like I am going to be getting a series of solid bronze Sunshine sculpts in my hands!!!

There are four different colors of bronze he will be working with, and I cannot wait to see what he comes up with

He said it is a four part molding process and showed me the different materials he was going to use. I asked if he could take some pics of the process... And told him he could make a little $$ selling em online

I will post updates as I get them.

yeah i have to bake him. i am using "prosculpt" which is a polysynthetic modeling "clay". you bake it at 275 for a bit to harden the material. i have been talking to godbeast about casting tips and i know i will have a lot of filling to do. he has given me some really good tips to prepare it for casting so that will be the next step after cleaning the figure up and finalizing the design. i am thinking of redoing the tail using the same design but just a little thinner. :) i have some ideas on back-filling. such as using a material to "inject" into the voids and spaces to fill them up. i will let everyone know :) there are a bunch in this thread that i would love to see cast and available for people. :)

Here's mine. I got it done today. I call him....Hydrantman!

This is a fun character that fits well into the existing line.

yeah i have to bake him.

Will the Muscle plastic survive the baking process? If so I may have to try something more ambitious now that I don't have to worry about it being too soft.

I've baked the Japanese keshi versions at 275 for around 20 mins, and they were fine. I try to use keshi for my projects as they are easier to cut

Not sure about the muscle material though...

I've been playing around too - and the MUSCLE figures can be baked at higher than you think for longer than you think.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think I was doing 275-325 degrees for 10-20 minutes. The MUSCLE pieces held up just fine.

No, but that is a rad idea... It is supposed to look like a piece of pineapple with a little cherry... Like people stick on hams to garnish.... lol
