BUT.....
I am so annoyed right now because I eat cereal EVERY day, in the morning (and sometimes throughout the day). It is now 10:30 pm. I just got out of the shower, and I am wearing a pair of slippers and boxer shorts. It is 30 degrees outside. I am out of milk......

the slime of all my yesterdays
rots in the hollow of my skull
they will pick up snakes in their hands, and if they drink any deadly thing, it will not harm them

Though it's probably due to students returning home from school for the summer, and just nice summer weather in general, I also believe the current state of world affairs has played a minute role as well.
There's a lot of serious and unprecedented shizznit going on right now in politics, biology, technology, war, etc...
I was reading this months issue of Scientific American and came across the following statements made by a seemingly intelligent Indian woman who has successfully taught her autistic son to read and write:
"I believe in absurdism. It is absurd to exist. Just see why we are alive, why we are dead. What is the use of the universe?"
A young, talented boy I know recently died of cancer after a long struggle. When I think about it, I realize his death has little direct effect on my life -- but it has unmeasurable effect on his parents' lives. His death has almost no effect on your lives -- except for the fact that you are reading this post.
My parents are faithfully praying for the child's parents. Though I haven't been praying, I realize that doing so -- and believing it will make a difference -- would give the situation meaning, and thus alleviate some of the absurdity.
With all this in mind, I was checking my email this morning. I had to chuckle when I came across the following email. Living in the 21st century forces the average human to endure and process an unbelievable amount of information and shizznit.
I'm beginning to wonder if we're not all a little crazy -- it's the only way to cope.
