I've tried to avoid discussing personal matters on this board, since it's not something I feel that other people should concern themselves with, but I feel that I need to explain what's going on.
When I first started working on Kinnikuman, my situation was a lot different. Sometime earlier this year, I had to essentially drop everything and move in with my grandmother to take care of her (I was raised by my grandparents, since my parents never really gave a damn). Since I suddenly had a LOT of time on my hands, I decided to dedicate as much of it as I could to getting Kinnikuman finished very quickly. I took it upon myself to make 100% sure that someone actually worked on Kinnikuman at a decent pace, so that the only attempt to translate it in the last several years didn't end up falling through, and I must confess I'm impressed how I did
and I wonder how close that I came.
To make a long story short, this and that happened at home, and I'm now moving out of state for various reasons. Since I'm not made of freetime anymore, continuing Kinnikuman really isn't an option.
I really did want to finish, and I regret having to drop the project when I was only a few volumes away from the end. Even though I still don't consider myself a member of this board, I've actually come to like you people in the last year. Maybe I'll still pop in from time to time to see how things are going. I can only hope that someone will finish up those last few volumes (and I kind of hope they try to keep it somewhat consistent with the ones I did). With that said, 2010's going to be a good year for Kinnikuman. Maybe this will even be the year that the Ultimate Muscle dub finally finds its way to the internet, if we're lucky.
That said, good luck to everyone who's still working on Kinnikuman, and whoever starts the editing in my place.
