I really stink with the romanization of the "marked tsu", considering that logic says "du", but it usually read as "zu"/"ju" like it was a marked "chu". All I know is it's "Hellfire Inner Strength" and we'll leave it at that.

Marked tsu? The scan quality is JUST too low to tell, but I'm *pretty* sure it says ちから as opposed to ぢから (which is pronounced jikara according to Wiki, and presumingly the voiced chi is obsolete since I've never seen it in use... And my New Nelson makes no mention of a "jikara" reading of the kanji (while of course chikara is a very common one)...), to my knowledge the whole "KKD" thing was just a misromanization of Yude's. Unless I've missed something.

According to jisho.org, there is supposedly a "jikara" name (but not kun), regardless, it is written じから in that case.

Well at least I didn't get it up on Sunday this week:

-Chp. 335: A log of what Suguru has learned from Ataru: a Friendship he already was used to, the other half of his special technique, and...the same hero lessons he knew way back in chp. 1!: http://mangahelpers..../releases/19170
-Chp. 336: You're gonna carry that we...AIT A SECOND, DIDN'T HE ASPLODE!?!?!?: http://mangahelpers..../releases/19171
-Chp. 337: A little trivia: 2010 is the 1300th anniversary of Nara becoming the capital of Japan: http://mangahelpers..../releases/19172

And with that, 50 chapters remain in the original series! As is, my plan now is simple: 5 chapters a week and finish the final chapter of the whole thing by April 1st. (Suguru's B-day) Can't say I can keep to it considering that things can, will, and do happen...but it is my current plan as is.

(tries to figure out who #1 is but is inundated by crap regarding Friendship and revivals post-death)

But I do admit: if you ignore the series' typical message at this point, they got Ataru's right.

Yeah, Kamehame is easily the most emotional death.

It was that emotional his death...nice.

Can some tell me why Suguru didn't revive him in the end? or it was because he couldn't?

For me the #1 hands down... is Robin Mask. both anime and manga made me cry, it was soooo sad.

For Kamehame, Yeah I somewhere in #2 or #3. But for me #3 saddest death is Brocken Jr. both manga and anime really did good on that...

You know, looking at the master clusterf*** kinnikuman progressively turned into, I still have to say, that now towards the end, it's still much better than virtually any other long-running shounen series.

It really depends on the moment for me. There are some incredible moments in this series (essentially the whole Ataru storyline aside the "I want to teach yet more friendship to my little brother") and some amazing fights (well amidst the crap like Parthenon and some of the Muscle Prophecy bits) but at least the series still remains consistent in between the good and bad moments.

As for Kamehame's death: it was emotional but it had some problems in its execution, from the utter stupidity of climbing up Tournament Mountain to him seeming like he's dead...only to immediately turn into a ghost that can tangibly hold up a ladder to train Terry in how to use the Texas Condor Kick. It's hard to say if this is "the" best death, but Ataru's is definitely stronger.

The meat projector was further down the line...and was insane in itself considering that that meant Terry immediately buried him (though had no real time with a semi-final match to be Kinnikuman Great as) and Budo/Neptune King knew exactly where he was, let alone that supposedly Dr. Bombe was buried in the exact same place just before the finals. (let alone the whole purpose of unburying Kamehame was not for him to be a projector...but to unmask Terry by using the old "Look! Over there!" routine)

Just figured I'd pop in with an update for everybody.

I'm currently wrapping up a couple big projects that are taking up my time, but these will be done this week... So, you can expect a new chapter soon. I don't want to estimate a date yet, but it'll be soon.

Chp. 338: No audience, no announcer...I think this series has finally found peace (well for the last chapter...possibly ever): http://mangahelpers..../releases/19218
Chp. 339: You know a "Scramble for the Throne" game with an engine based on "Kung Fu" (the old NES game) wouldn't be too bad an idea: http://mangahelpers..../releases/19219

I agree but somehow as I imagine it: if those idiot broadcasters didn't just suddenly float by showing the progress of Suguru's group, then Phoenix's group wouldn't have gotten the incentive to pull this nonsense. I am a bit more shocked Prisman didn't follow along to pull this...but of course, Prisman gets excited so easily that he ends up having a short-term memory because of it.

Does anyone else feel that Super Phoenix himself is kind of underwhelming? I mean, Ataru kicked him to the curb and way back. He isn't really intimidating the same way say, Buffaloman or Akuma Shogun were.

Phoenix was the forebearer for unlikeable wastes of space called the Nisei manga cast.

He's just low on the annoying totem pole.

Phoenix just seems like a brat who was bullied all his life and suddenly has power...and decides to bully others with it instead of using it for good. He just seems like a puppet of the Evil Gods to me.

I'm probably the only one here that likes Team Phoenix. The fact that they're all ridiculously overpowered is why I like them. They bring a sense of despair/hopelessness to the whole situation.
