Sweet! I just checked tracking, and they arrived at the post office this morning and are now out for delivery.

Mine should be here today.  I WILL review them for Wednesday's Nerditis article!

If I can't find my two old Mordles by then, I'll just talk about them without showing the originals off... lol?

What's in the eggs!

Air from the Glyos factory in China.

I saw earlier that John mentioned over at OT that they are empty.

Is it upside down? Damn iPhone!

I didn't open the eggs, but they definitely feel empty.

Well, the pic got turned right-side-up, but it's back to upside-down now.

I got my Mordles!  Photoshoot tonight.

My strategy is to order one of each colorway via the club, and then more when they go regularly for sale :D

Should be right side up. If its not, I give up. iOS is pinheaded...

So, about the egg - the Manglors egg?  Reproduced, too?  if so, did you manage to get the license for that as well?

Also, it's perfect size for two Mordles sets.  Is there going to be one for every other colorway?

Oh yeah, got my kick ass sets of Mordles today! They are a beautiful thing to behold...

You must've seen it between some of Fuzz's edits. It originally wasn't, either he or someone else fixed it, got messed up again at the point I said so, and now it's fine. Crazy flipping picture! This wouldn't be the first time I'd heard of iOS or iPhone uploads having issues with pictures being loaded the right way either.

Rid, I know Manglors kept being teased by Poe Ghostal on his blog, so clearly we know who was doing the teasing, but it looks like that's all we know, especially since the eggs are empty.

I love how the original copyright stuff on the mordles is missing now!

I think it depends on which way you hold the iPhone. It sucks though because the pic looks normal on your phone, but then it's upside down for everyone else. Weird....and stupid.

Got mine! I was under the impression these were new sculpts - albeit mimicking the originals - but they are so exact that I'm wondering if they aren't repros...!? Either way, wow. I have a full set of the originals and these are identical. Incredible. Well done!

I have found ONE of my two originals (where's the other? WAAAH!), and can incorporate that into my photos!  I also found Godbeast cuswtoms, which feel like they're made of glass.

I'm so glad these new Mordles are made with this material and don't feel/break like glass or super hard plastic

YES! I just scored the original orange long-legged mordle! That's 9 of the original 10. The original mordles look so awesome next to their modern counterparts!

Air from the Glyos factory in China.

I saw earlier that John mentioned over at OT that they are empty.

Actually, the eggs are made in an entirely different factory in another part of the world!

I got my Mordles!  Photoshoot tonight.

My strategy is to order one of each colorway via the club, and then more when they go regularly for sale :D

awesome! I plan to have armies of these guys myself.

So, about the egg - the Manglors egg?  Reproduced, too?  if so, did you manage to get the license for that as well?

Also, it's perfect size for two Mordles sets.  Is there going to be one for every other colorway?

I have the rights to multiple properties formerly put out by Ideal Toys over the years of their existence. The Manglor egg is from the original V2 Manglor egg tooling! So they are identical to the orignals, barring the color and the paint. Since most of us have never seen them in person :joecool: I imagine they are new to everyone.

There will not be an egg in every Mordle release. Though, there will be at least one other type of egg in an upcoming wave...

Rid, I know Manglors kept being teased by Poe Ghostal on his blog, so clearly we know who was doing the teasing, but it looks like that's all we know, especially since the eggs are empty.

I do have the rights to Manglors. Poe was not in on the tease - I did that to get some traction out there for the concept. We probably won't have a Manglor-related figure until next year, but something is supposed to go inside those eggs in my storyline...

CBS.

Thanks!

What we did was send over an original set of the Mordles to be cast (so the new ones are slightly smaller), and cleaned up a bit (removing the CBS copyright, numbers that corresponded to different tooling, etc). Glad you like them!

If we do another set of Mordles, then they would be all-new or mostly new sculpts.

I'm so glad these new Mordles are made with this material and don't feel/break like glass or super hard plastic

One thing that Onell Design noted when they finally saw the original Mordles in person - because even Matt didn't have a Mordle in his collection! - was that the plastic was too hard.

So we went with a much softer overall plastic to give a better feel to the Mordles.

Out of interest DrK, as you've picked up the rights to Mordles, Robo Force and Manglors from Ideal Toys, are other Ideal brands available? Specifically, Mini Boglins?

The Ideal you are referring to is not the same Ideal that produced Robo Force and the rest.

Didn't know there was another Ideal! Interesting.

It'd certainly be interesting to know who the rights to Boglins are sitting with now. Last release was the Mattel hand puppets in 2000 right?
