You guys forget one fact! Kids love toys that go in the water. I know I did! So what would sell better than a Spiderman with Scuba gear? Not Batman that's for sure.

And Dank, that's a goo theory, but both of my Red Hulks came with the Fury Stickers on them. And the first few cases of Wave 4 that hit shelves or retail didn't have the offer on the packs. In fact I'm willing to bet that many cases that didn't make it to retail outlets didn't have the offer on them either.

But you guys see Jugg's leg articulation?!!! It looks like Hasbro has quickly repaired the flaws of the first Big 4. I hope his helmet comes off. :( And a unique Juggs body type means we will probably get some nice variants of him as well!

All of a sudden I want a Madame Web figure with her creepy chair. :)

it was worth a shot. i think i'm just going to consider it a factory variation and not give it another thought. incidentally, there's several lots of red hulk online that are far less ridiculously priced than the grey hulk.

let's throw out some more artist/characters we'd like to see:

for hulk, i'd love to see versions based on sam keith, dale keown and liam sharp's work. maybe a michael turner. also, we better get maestro, joe fixit, professor hulk and devil hulk.

wolverine by sam keith.

venom by sam keith.

iron man needs a kia asamiya sculpt.

frank quietly's cassandra nova.

jim lee's mr. sinister & lady deathstrike.

i've decided that i'll be needing to get any and all x-men characters from this line. they better release them all and not force me to buy some of those damned x-men origins figures.

OH man! A Joe Fix It Hulk is a must have! With his trenchcoat and Hat!

Cyber would be great to further the Wolverine villain Roster!

I'd also like to see an Age of Apocalypse cast! All the main characters for sure!

Wonderman (black/red, blue/red, Jacket/Glasses)

Sauron

Caliban (Horsemen version)

Callisto

Demogoblin

An Ani-Men box set would also be the shiznit.

A great Giant would be Dragon Man since he would be about 3 times bigger than a normal figure.

And before I go, I claim the Inhumans! Black Bolt, Medusa, Karnak, Gorgon, Triton, Crystal, and Lockjaw!

This. If Secret Wars works out well, i wanna see 'em do something similar for AoA. Although with all those books it'd be like a hundred figure set.

Also i agree on the Inhumans. The fact that Toy Biz went six years without producing a single Inhumans figure is one of the reasons i wasn't too sad to see them lose the license.

I also want a Thanos really really badly. How was there no ML Thanos?

i was going through my marvel encyclopedias just now and there's no way they won't do a thanos. you cannot do a line that includes this many characters, main and secondary alike, and not include him. it would defy the laws of physics, mathematics, templer mechanics, biology and chemistry to exclude him. if they did that the big bang would reverse.

Toybiz did it. I do agree though, i know he won't get left out this time around. And with the better looking articulation on Juggernaut i'm even more excited for big characters.

And while we're on the subject of characters that got cool figures in the 90's but no ML love, i also want a Dormammu. And Sugar Man.

why do that? that'd only make their loyal customers happy. they couldn't possibly consider catering to our every whim. their profits would be too high, the s.e.c. would have to investigate them and their ceo would have to step down and take a huge bonus for quitting. it's just not feasible.

Toybiz did what? They had a few Thanos figures.

I meant they managed to do a six-year run of Marvel Legends, reaching to all corners of Marvel comics, and left out Thanos. ToyBiz pre and post 2000 hardly felt like the same company in terms of the stuff they seemed willing to produce. Even though though both eras were fairly comparable in length i could probably sit here and rattle off 50-75 characters off the top of my head that they seemed to completely forget about after the 90's, and nearly as many that Hasbro already seems set on producing.

This is actually among the main reasons i dumped Legends when the line basically died, and started collecting the 90's stuff again. Now it's looking like MU is going to be as far-reaching as the 90's lines if not moreso, and finally with compatible-size action. It's actually left me with something of a dilemma as to what to do with all those shelves full of 90's goodness.

The 90's stuff is great no matter what! I never got into Legends because I thought that most looked atrocious. Some looked no better than run of the mill custom action figures. But I remember roaming the toy aisles back in the 90's just glancing through the Cool Marvel figures. The best came from the X-Men line I think. I remember getting kind of sad when Toy Biz started reinventing their Marvel franchise, making the figures bigger, shoving tons of gimmicks on an already compromised sculpt, and they stopped packing cards in with them.

Good times though. They even had freakin Inhumans in their Fantastic Four lineup! Medusa, Gorgon, Black Bolt, etc! So I'm a little happy that Hasbro kind of started where Toybiz left off, and seems to be reverting to the good times of Toy Biz instead of trying to go further down the road Toy Biz was headed.

Well, I finally broke down and bought my first Marvel Universe fig today

I've been telling myself over and over that I won't buy into this line (like I did HEAVILY with the Marvel Legends), but I saw the Red Hulk and just had to get it. Then I saw pics of Galactus and now I feel like I'm going to buy heavily in this line too<_<

Well, here's the beginning next to his ML BAF friend:

Attached File  redhulk_003.jpg   723.78K   12 downloads

Now I feel like I have to go through my Legends with a fine tooth comb, just to make room for the Universe line...

Mannnn....the more i see of that thing, the more i can't wait for it. You say it talks? I need a link to this information. :D

Yeah, if it is in fact 19" it's bigger than the ML version. I want to say that one is like 14", but i haven't gone up to measure it or anything. The best part is that this one is actually in scale with the figures (first time ever!), if not slightly *too* big. I think Galactus is usually listed at around 24', or four times taller than an average human. So at 19" this one will be around FIVE times bigger than the other figures. Good times. :D This one's also a lot beefier, the ML version was actually pretty slender.

I know! It's just sick that Hasbro is making this! I'd easily pay $60 bucks for it. If you look at the photo of his back you will see the speaker holes. I also love the beefier build of the figure.

Well most of the newly shown figures have been officially placed in their 2010 waves.

Surveilance for Fury Files?? I'm not sure what this is....are there going to be images added to the site...or will the new figures come packed with an extra photo card in each file? Confusing, but it looks pretty cool.

Thanks to a website tipoff from the always-helpful Dan, i'm now comfortably caught up on Marvel Universe. Ordered a Wave 1 Iron Man, and also a Silver Surfer. I was just gonna wait until Galactus for my Silver Surfer action, but the way shipping worked out, tacking him on only added like $6 to my order. So i'll just have an extra one to stick with my ML Galactus i guess. :o

Awesome Scummy! Glad you finally found them....now if anyone has a tip off on where I can get a Gray Hulk at retail I'd much appreciate it. :o

I have to agree with DFL. I was and have always been most fond of the Jim Lee Jean Grey. But honestly Jim Lee did wonders with most of the X-men back then, and I think those costumes are often times the most recognizable anymore. But I also love the classic appearances of all the X-men as well. I can't wait for a complete roster of a first appearance X team.

And Mimic would be great too!

Shoot man, this line has so much potential it's insane! The Body reusage is sort of a drag, but Hasbro is apparently putting alot more effort into the future of this line all of a sudden. The benefit of reusing body types is they can squeeze out more characters and variants at a cheaper and quicker pace. By this time next year, I would not in the least be surprised that my collection will have hit close to a 100 pieces, if I can find them all. I've already got like 30 I think.

I'd like to get that set, but mostly because i want a Red Skull. And i want an OPEN Red Skull, that i can put with my other stuff. Wonder what the odds are of him coming out on his own? Probably pretty high since he's all unique parts, right?

I can't bring myself to pay $40 for one figure, much as i'd like to.

Well, I was able to get an order in on the Invaders set....$50.26 total....It's a preorder though, so I'm not sure if Hasbro is having more pooped out of the factory due to popularity or what. I'm sure the Frozen Cap will pop back up in the same vein as well. Hope I can get one of him as well.

I just hope Hasbro starts doing this for most of their Universe figures from now on.

Our glorious Milky Way is a tiny, infinitesimal speck of sand in this vast, incomprehensible universe. And somewhere in that Milky Way is our own solar system, less than one billionth of that speck of sand that is the Milky Way. And then there is our planet Earth, one hundred trillionth of that one billionth of that one speck of sand. And on this planet Earth there is DEV-0, an insignificant blemish with a lifespan too short to measure when placed in infinite time.

And you are here, with them, as so many specks of sand.
