Hey Jason where do you live that your toys r us had them? The tRu website doesn't even have them on there anymore.

I'm starting to think this line died before it even started...Jakks doesn't even have them on their website either

Wow. Those who have them may want to hold onto them...

Maybe they are just amending how they are presenting them?

i live in northeast tennessee. they had them as of about 3 days ago. i'm going tomorrow or sunday to see if they have wave 2. i hope since they took them off their website, that doesn't mean they won't be picking up the additional series that are coming out this year........maybe they removed them since they aren't available in all markets?

I still see the 12 pack on the Toys R Us site and it still has "Sold in Stores" checked. I haven't been checking the Jakks site to know if they have ever been on there.

would you post the webpage on here, I can't find it on tRu website and everytime I go there asking them they look at me like I'm messing with them asking for a toyline name slugs that are zombies and I can't produce a sku# from there website.

After weeks of calling the TRU is Nashua I went there tonight while out shopping around and having a night out. Nothing in the store and person at the computer told me that according to the computer he had no idea when they might show up. If anyone can get me the 4 three packs and a 12 pack I would much appreciate it.

I don't think they were ever on Jakks' website. I checked there a few weeks ago and they weren't on there, so it seems they just haven't put them up yet.

Compared to the other lines Jakks has S.L.U.G. is a tiny percentage, so it's probably not a big priority to get a website set up for them especially since this line just came out like a week ago.

I hope this line does well and that you all can find them in your Toys R' Us stores soon. Give it another week or two and see.

The problem is if they expect this line to become and remain popular, they would need to either make them available through other retailers or make sure Toys R Us doesn't mess it up like they pretty much already have. Seems like they aren't putting any effort into this line, like the fact there isn't a website. Even if they had them on the site and state these are coming soon, it would be better then nothing. The TRU website has said the same thing since FEB and the fact they were sold at some stores makes me believe it's more of a limited release to see if they do indeed sell before making any attempt at selling them at all TRU's.

I think we are just expecting too much too fast. The line is brand new, can't expect them in every store at once.

the way Jeremy Padawer (Jakks Exec VP Marketing) is talking about them in this vid, it doesnt sound like they are just testing the waters. Especially since they have different series already in the works after the Zombies.

Yeah, and look at the Entertainment Earth website. They say, as of right now, that they don't have wave 1 in stock either. So it's not just TRU.

I have a feeling when those blind packed single zombies hit that's going to bring in a lot of customers to the line. That's an impulse buy that someone sees and gets on a whim, and then they'll be hooked.

It could very well be a test period. On their official website, http://slugzombies.com they have em listed as "Coming this Fall"

FYI - Somebody on the October Toys forum said he found the "mystery 1-packs" at Walgreens for $1.99. Comes blind boxed in a mini coffin. I guess I'm heading to Walgreens. I hope they have them just to see what these guys look like in person, but I'm not buying a ton of them this way.

Thanks for the heads up. I am definitely going to swing by Walgreens later to see if I have any luck. I'd buy a couple that way.

I emailed Jakks about this and TRU has them exclusively with the exception of online stores like Entertainment Earth...so pretty much sucks we are at the mercy of TRU once again, which is never a good thing with poor distribution, price gouging, and lack of stores. I can't find the email they sent but it was only like 3 online store like Entertainment Earth. So Target and Walmart aren't going to get them.

Entertainment Earth

if these were exclusive to tru, how/why would walgreens have the single blind packs?

also, just in case, i checked at 5 diff walgreens today, and no slug zombies there. i was on the hunt for a specific gi joe so i figured i'd look for the zombies while i was there

No clue, that was the response I got from Jakks. There customer service really sucked and so this makes sense that they had no clue what they were talking about. I won't believe anything until I see it for myself.

No luck at Walgreens for me. One store had very little toy selection. Another had much more than I would expect from Walgreens including popular collectible stuff like Trash Packs, Monster High, Marvel and whatnot, but the guy there never heard of SLUG Zombies.
