Has anyone received any notification of the GOLD S1 figures being shipped yet??

I thought it was the first week of november but i still havent heard anything.
I hope i aint been forgotten

November 7th is the release date for S1 on Luke's Toy Store site. That's if you did separate orders for S1 and S2. If you did the combo, S1 is supposed to ship in December with your S2 figures. December 19th is the date on S2.

Jon wanted that color too.

George said if someone wanted to buy in on a new color they could go for a softer material as well to mimic japanese muscles. You should consider that. I think people would love a softer version in a new color.

Waiting on a reply back from Ayleen/George. We shall see...

Feel free to hit me up about green, either solid blue, black or pink (maybe the 3DR set as well depending on how well stripping the Stealth goes) if you decide to let any of those go biz, got quite a bit going on at the moment though so might not have available finances on short notice.

Got my Stealth sets in today. Still need to source some isopropyl to get that stinky paint off one of them.

Why are you stripping a stealth set when clear is coming out soon?

I mean that is a really cool idea but you could probably sell a stealth set and grab 3 clear sets for the price.

Series 2 clear is coming soon, no indication of series 1 as far as I'm aware. I did ask when they were first announced.

Has anybody had any further news on their S2 Kickstarter orders? I haven't heard anything for ages and I don't even recall having my pledge money taken from my account! I've mentioned it to George, but he never got back to me. I've had more notice given to me regarding my combined order from Luke than I have for Kickstarter  My golds, S2 flesh, S2 black and S1 orange will be my final venture into the world of OMFG I think. I can't keep up with all the new releases and Armorvors are WAY too tempting

I'm definitely interested to hear how the stripping of the Stealth paint goes and what kind of smell the figures are left with after. I guess you would need to soak them in soap or something for awhile.

I don't really mess with the color change gimmick much, so the Stealth is kinda just another black set with a different finish. I bought two sets and I might create my own S1 clear with one of them too if it works for waaaaghlord.

George said a while back that he'd be leaving it until close to shipping time to send out the survey for pledges, mainly to avoid issues with anybody moving house in the interim. I'm sure he'll put up a note on the OT boards when he does that. Have you been getting emails about updates to the kickstarter page? I think the last one was about the 15 custom figures. Those should be automatically going out to all backers. I'm not sure how reliable the kickstarter interface is at times. I tried to up my pledge on the third party Transformers book to grab a second copy for my mate Siegfried and was convinced it had gone through okay but ended up only getting charged for my original pledge when it funded.

Yeh I've had all of the updates, but the main query was whether or not I'd been charged as I really don't remember seeing it on my banks statement. I upped my pledge and George confirmed the upgrade way back. It's annoying how its all Amazon linked as I never use that and keep forgetting my password. Now of it was PayPal it would be much easier

Except you have to manually check out with paypal, so I don't think it would be possible to set that up to charge you at funding time, plus kickstarter is an amazon company so it makes sense for them to keep things internal. Do you have emails archived from back when it funded? There should be a receipt from amazon if it went through.

Just checked and my amazon receipt was dated 7th August rather than 6th, probably due to the time difference.

Well done waaaaghlord you've helped me sort this out  The email came through to my 'old' email that amazon must be linked to, so now I've got proof that I paid the pledge. Had a nice 758 other emails waiting for me when I looked in ha! Cheers buddy.

Looks like I will not be able to get a color buy-in:

Unfortunately we still prefer working with persons/companies that have established sites/businesses online. We're not trying to be difficult or anything, but based on our experience, this is the best way to ensure product actually makes it to the hands of fans and collectors.

Thank you again for your interest and support!

I see George's point, as I tried doing the same exact thing, but I now have a online store that i'm in talks w/ seeing if they will host the exclusive color on thier site.

There are sooo many new colorways now, I'm beginning to wonder if we are losing collectors or are some staying pure to the original muscle colors for nostalgia, instead of being OCD like me?

=)

There have been a few people here who recently gave up on a complete collection and started selling off their sets. It can't be easy to keep up when there is no limit to new colors coming out. I like it cause i don't want a complete collection at all so i can pick and choose what i want like the AP orange multiskulls ^_^

I'll keep buying the new colors I like and probably sell or trade off a couple colors I don't like so much but bought for the purpose of collecting every production color. I knew there would be too many colors for S2 for me to collect them all, but it looks like S1 could be neverending too, which is fine. I think the recent Orange, Plum, Translucent Red, and Metallic Gold will be some of my favorite colors for S1.

OMFG got me into collecting new toys, but I'm collecting too many other toys now to keep buying every OMFG color.

That's why I pretty much decided to stick with all colors for S1. Not too thrilled about the sculpts for 2 & 3.

I guess the old saying, 'too much of a good thing is a bad thing' is true for the overload on colours being produced for series 1.
Still, you'd think having more choices is a good thing, no? It's not like one set is worth any less if you don't have an accompanying coloured set to go with it. It's just a big pain in the a$$ trying to have every single release is all. Meh.
