anyone else having problems with their daily emails from ebay not showing up lately? i got one today, and the last one i got was about five days ago. anyway, found loads of crap today.

mimp: (i guess someone cut argentina open and it's been hemmoraging mimps)
appears to be a mimp catalog of figures.
monster club booklet from argentina.
are these really mimps? says they're from argentina as well.
even more argentina stuph.
finally, something not from argentina. from the good ole.... canada? cereal premium.

misc:
planet of the apes mini figs. i wonder if these are really as the listing describes them, or if they're from miniature rpg game and someone is just trying to score off of some suckers. anyone know?
my new favorite ultraman monster. eat your heart out ammonite 154.
what the deuce?
these are awesome, godzilla menko cards. i haven't seen these before, but the art on them looks great. this seller has lots of obscure items like this and my next item...
batman japanese paper game. i wonder if this is an official product or not. it looks like the terribly fantastic old school batman television show. but look at frame 13. is that batman firing a gun? i can't tell if he's shooting the tie rope to drop the net on the bad guys, or if he's firing a net out of a special gun. either way, batman doesn't need guns (and don't bother pointing out some obscure comic reference where batman actually fires a gun or how he shoots his grappling hook, i don't care. nerd). how great is that red batmobile that apparently makes a "gooo" noise. :)

if anyone is in need of an ass kicking, i've got a bunch of dupes i can give you one if you want.

That's not a Canadian premium. The seller also had an orange Phantom, which I eventually decided would be worth getting. Instead, I get a neon red Phantom, which is not rare at all, and it's damaged and marked up on the back of the figure to boot. I complain to the seller about the misrepresented item, and get back in broken English (Quebec, how I love thee) what amounts to no more than "sorry." Don't worry, I've returned it and will get a refund.

And someone is cruising for a bruising. :) Gatanozoa is the ultimate villain of Ultraman Tiga, and enormous for a kaiju. He makes your average kaiju look like a shrimp. Unfortunately, it means his figure is not to scale, not with other kaiju or Ultras.

The seller is totally awesome though. Dealt with them many times in the past and I get my kaiju lightning-fast. I'm waiting for a restock of EX Red King before I place my next order.

that red king figure is like the ill-legitimate love child of godzilla and popeye. there was another version of red king a few weeks ago. was kind of a light gray with light green details. is that one or the gray one a special version?

No, both are standard figures in the Ultra Monster Series. EX Red King is new, but Red King came out at the beginning of the line.

Red King in general is one of the most popular of all Ultraman kaiju. There's dozens of toys out there of the pinhead. These two (both my eBay links) just happen to be among the newest.

even though i'm on toy buying strike until prolly after christmas, i still love searching around for cool new/old things. i could go to toys r us everyday if they didn't put that restraining order on me. there's just something about being around a ton of toys that makes me happy.

muscle/kinnikuman:
kubricks are keen. i especially love the warsman, brokken and pentagon figures.
if you're a fan of meat, and i think someone here is, you'll prolly like this meat figure.
was gonna throw this under miscellaneous but it's mostly muscle, muscle, mimp & wierdball wrestlers. don't know who the light blue guy on the second to last row is though.

laser beasts:
i used to think shool was my favorite, but zargarian is even cooler. no weapon, but seller has several other laser beasts as well.

mimp:
series 1 complete. is this a fair asking price for these beauties. this is the next franchise i'm going to be rebuilding and want to know what a fair shake is on these.

misc:
for the megaman/rockman fans.

stupid toys r us. just because i got a little fresh with one of the giant rubber two-headed dragons. i'll show them.

Yeah, I think I've seen both of those and was confused as to whether they were premiums too. The 'rare Canadian cereal premium' is a just a regular cyan (or green?) Swamp Beast shot with really crappy photography. To bad about the Phantom, photos on the eBay can be so misleading. But sometimes it pays off - I got a GITD Dryad for a pittance because the photo was so crappy and overexposed, it kind of looked neon yellow!

I think the unknown blue guy is a Musclemania figure, but that's no more than a guess. Something about that style.

The MIMP lot isn't that great a price. I mean, I ended up with a near-complete set, only missing one, for half that price. But perhaps that's the exception, not the rule. But for the impatient and non-budget-minded, not bad. I see somebody got it already!

I know exactly what you're talking about JC (heh), and those orange and neon red figures are the worst offenders. It's what makes lots with Series 2 figures mixed in so much more helpful.

Its not so bad he had a secret 12 pack and Blue Behemoth and Orange Triton, they would go for $25 alone but still a high price to pay for the rest.

Absolutely. I've got a lot coming in the mail in which I suspect I may have an premium orange Kraken. I'm trying to remain skeptical, but the lot also contained yellow, neon yellow, neon red etc. figures and it wasn't any of those colours. The photo itself was terribly over-exposed, but because I could make comparisons, I could make a pretty good guess.

Oh, I know exactly what you mean. You outbid me on it. All's good, I'm not complaining. I was trying for it because it has so little attention. Wanted the cyan Charon, dark green Spring Heeled Jack, neon purple Coatlicue, and what I originally thought were a ton of orange figures. It took me a while to realize the stupid mistake I was making there!

In my own expert* opinion, it definitely looks like a proper orange Kraken to me!

Yeah, it's a really sweet lot. A couple of premiums, weird combinations of doubles (ie. Coatlicue - 2 red, 1 neon purple, 3 Manticores etc)... wonder why it didn't attract many bids? I'm stoked about it though and I'm glad to have the confirmation of an expert* such as yourself to suggest that maybe I got an extra premium that I wasn't sure about. What's the appeal of the neon purple Coatlicue BTW? Is it generally rare or just something you need personally?

got incredibly lousy news today. one of the jobs the company i work for is tanking and they need someone who kicks ass to bail them out. this is where it gets lousy, i kick ass. so instead of working with my friends at a jobsite i like that's toys r us adjacent, i get to drive to the air force base and deal with checkpoints. and to make matters worse, three guys who were on the last job i was at, who i don't like, are there. if i have to work with them i may be writing this from my prison computer lab before long. here's the kick in the balls, ebay didn't have much today. pretty slim pickings in fact.

mimp:
lot of 31, i'm guessing series 1, figures.

godzilla:
super 7 magazine. 50 years of godzilla.

the new jobsite is suppose to be temporary and my foreman did everything short of killing the president of the company to keep me. this always happens though, i go somewhere new and the foreman steals me from where ever i was lent out from. that's where my current/former foreman stole me from. i'm just going to have to start sucking ass instead of kicking it. then maybe i'll be able to work with my friends again.

Nothing rare (maybe it is, but not a factor for me) or that I particularly need, but I am a Coat fan. :) As is my brother. I bought an extra red one from nemesisbonga way back to give to him, but was instead ripped off. Who the hell bothers to rip someone off for a fifty-cent figure?!

The lack of attention might be due to the overseas location. But considering my own puny but awesome score of seven recently, maybe it's just crappy timing. Or all the highrollers went on a vacation at the same time, to some sort of MIMP Collector Retreat.

Your job situation sounds quite lame, Dan. :( Losing the TRU proximity is one thing, but working with people you don't like at all is the epitome of the concept of lame. Probably exactly what whoever coined the word had in mind when he did it. Been there, continue to do that on a regular basis. Instead of that "urge to kill, rising" feeling, I just end up simmering at a constant rate of bloodthirst.

didn't see anything worth mentioning today. however if you're a one piece fan, this search has a ton of new gashapon figs added today. quite a few of them look pretty cool too. i never got into one piece but maybe someone will see something here that is cool if for nothing more than the sake of a new lrg.

not much of the standards today. but i did find some really cool stuph from japan, call your mortgage agent though.

mimp:
7-11 store display. ah the good old days. if only i still had all of my mimp cards from sev.
mixed lot, maybe some are series 4, maybe some are not mimp at all. i'm no expert.

battle beasts/laser beasts:
some laser beasts mixed in here.

yokai:
these highly detailed little sculpts are some of the coolest yokai toys i've seen. i don't know if they're rare or just super desirable but they are not cheap. here's parts 1, 2, 3 & 4.
this little set is really cool too, but you won't have to beg the wife as much to pay for them.

misc:
nifty sd dragonball gt figs.
great little dinosaurs.
fewture makes some of the coolest, if not the priciest resin statues around. this one is one of my faves. fantazone vampu.

with the current state of the economy and more and more of us holding back our unnecessary spending most of these are just a dream. maybe one of the lucky members here though can drop a ton of weight on these great little beauties.
