This is a figure that I've had this concept style planned since I started this book (out of about 25 ideas, this is #18 to be put on paper) and it looks exactly the way I planned it 2 years ago: very stylized in line weight, yet accurate to the figure.

Here's the second to last pro peice in the book, an indie from the last 'con of '06, who's style reminds me of Erik Larson and Marvel art in the eighties.

This is a fake resteraunt logo I did while I was on buisness in Pittsburg, Penn. Just tonight got around to adding the text. When I get back into screenprinting, this is definately going on shirts...

I have started a NEW BOOK, with a fresh outlook, and much broader topic. This book will be all little rubber guys (that I have a figure of to draw from): Battlebeasts, MIMP, mini boglins, sd muscle, fop, mezitz, and so on. Even Care Bears ans Wuzzles will make a showing. The book is only 5 1/2 by 8 1/2, much more impulse friendly. With 100 new pages, this project is far from coming to an end. And there is a book 3 already started, but more on that later.

Book 2 starts off with 4 classic MIMP, all done last night and this morning. I so missed using black sharpies, and I can't wait to hop from series to series.

Thanks all for your continued interest in my quirky little hobby, and I'll try to do better to live up to it.

the snigator/lizard liz mash-up is in the same book as all the muscle pics in this topic, and the make up of figure #006 that I swore I'd do back on April 10th, 2005.
Using the guache (watercolor) was much easier and produced better results than the sharpies I swore by for so many years. I'll still use them, but the watercolors are my new medium of choice.
I'm gonna make a serious effort to finish this book in July' and not with entries for challenges. After that, I dunno if I'll continue here, or focus on getting back to collecting, the contests, the custom figures, the patches, and whatever else the boards throw at me.
