I'm interested but I sort of thought before that Jake was going to take it and he was the main person behind it. Would love to do it but at this point without me owning it personally (not even scans) and with all of our backhistory in trying to get it, I'm just out of the loop.

But if you want me to and have a means for me to get scans, I may give it a try (once I clean up some other stuff I'm currently TLing)

Speaking of wrestling manga that needs translation... I came into contact with Jushin Liger, it's a short (190x2) manga by Go Nagai, it's a kind of wrestling-mecha hybrid manga, and it inspired the creation of the wrestler of the same name.


I should coerce someone into translating it and textset it myself.

The guy who scans them was going to do 4, but he never got around to it (plus the demand for raws of the series plummeted after the "situation").

I think he'd probably finish up scanning that last volume if someone asked.

Drax is the one who scans them. He used to come around here pretty often, but we don't see him much anymore.

And the "situation" being the previous attempt at translating it.

Hmmm, I know there's been a lot of people asking about these 2 series V-Jump and G2-Tag. And people have been asking me to translate V-Jump and G2 Tag recently and for a long time on my MH account. I've gotten hundreds upon hundreds of messages to resurrect and start working on it again. Since Ataru has his own on-going series now and such. It wouldn't be fair to him to do those series, Since he's already done G1 in full and that was enough work as it is. I'll admit I took a really long break from translating, It's been a while since I even touched anything. I just got back to translating "JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken" and such since I started it a while back. I was actually thinking about working on V-Jump as well, As it stands, I've translated a ton of V-Jump over 28 Chapters in full. I just never released anything prior because of my personal life being more important at the time. Also, That HD with all of those scripts isn't plugged in either, It's out of commission for now since I'm on a new comp and really haven't had time for anything since I'm going to be a a comic writer for DC Comics soon.

Also none of my scans are on here as well. But I do own the full V-Jump series along with G2-Tag to date. So I'll probably just work out the books like how Ataru does with his current series. Although it would be great if Vol. 04 of V-Jump was scanned so it can go with the scripts. At the moment I've posted One Chapter of G2-Tag on my MH account and Two Chapters from V-Jump on there as well. If people want to help and scan this series and such I have no problem with translating it again. I'll just provide scripts and you do your magic. Also, I'm not going to be scanning my own person copies, I have no time for that. Contact Drax about that matter and maybe he'll supply us with the scans, So we have everything in order when it comes time where it's type-set. My chapters are posted at the bottom of this message. Oh yeah one more thing before I go, Disregard that "Not for use for Team Kinniku".

There was an incident that had happened with a member of this forum a while back. Who's taken a translation of mine without my consent and did a horrible scanlation in basic fonts/bad images. When you translate you want your work to look great on nice clean scans, Not mediocre garbage. I'm a scan Nazi, If it isn't done right it shouldn't be done at all.

I have to add another note on here, Keep in mind at the same time I work on these Kinniku-Spin Offs/Series. I'm still going to be working on my series JoJo's Bizarre Adventure and Hokuto Shinken. Here's a quick scanlation 101: If anyone remembers clearly, 90% of all original scans from back in the day were entirely based off of the Chinese editions. JoJo's and Shinken were based off of those as well and the translations are 95% inaccurate. So that's why I'm re-translating them. Cause hey, Those are my two favorite series and well, It's always nice to read something in perfect English not Engrish. Otoko-Juku is an exception<3 Thanks Aniki-Ataru! One more thing I need to add, Eion's ago I worked on "Tatakae!! Ramenman". I did like 5 Chapters out of the ridiculously long 6 Chapters in Volume 01. If you're also interested in text-setting that series as well. I will send you the Scripts/Scans of each Chapter I've done and you do your magic later on.

Of what scans, Ramenman? Or are you talking about V-Jump Nisei?

From what I know, Drax has scanned exactly 3 of the V-Jump Volumes. And Ramenman was scanned in full as well a very long time ago. But than again I don't know if anyone was or wants to know Ramenman's story. Personally from what I translated I love it. Anyways, I know G2-Tag had 7 Volumes scanned and I scanned up to Volume 18 of my own personal manga a while ago. However, I'm not a manga distributor and these scans will not be posted anywhere. They will be given only to the person who's going to be text-setting them.

Alright than, Later on I'll plug in my other HD and get you the scans of Vol. 01 along with my script so you can work on it. I hope you know how to scan good xD Back in the day I started scanning this series but stopped because I was extremely busy at the time. So I had no time to work on it anymore. Anyways, I believe truthfully that Ramenman's series is a hell of a lot better than anything Yudetamago has ever written story wise. The series isn't effed up or over-shadowed by the atrocities that happened in G1. And well, This Ramenman is an ancestor of the original Ramenman in a linage of Ramenman's that learn 102 Choujin Techniques within the "Touryuu Gokui Sho". And through each generation they add another Choujin Technique to it.

Most of the 'old guard' who accept the manga as 'cannon' and not as a distraction from MUSCLE will be thrilled to see any Gen 1-related items scanslated-- Even the weird Warsman spinoff that came between Gen 1 and Gen 2.

Now if we could find another Wimmo and get the fansubbers back into buisiness on Kinnikuman, everything would be awesome in the realm of Kinniku-thusiasts.
