For those that appreciate Greek mythology and exceptional talent. Best vocalist in rock music in my opinion.

Greek mythology got me listening, guys voice led me to the end... Not sure if i loved the bluezy/rock sound but i really enjoyed the lyrics
And gotta say the singers voice was very pleasent
Good honest opinion. The band has gotten older and thus as all long term bands tend to do they experiment some. I was not a big fan of the direction with blues added either, but they don't do it exclusively on their tracks so it is passable. If you are a fan of heavier rock or metal, you would probably enjoy the early stuff. The singer, Neil Fallon, is a hell of a story teller, and his singing style was the same back then. Here is one you may enjoy more....it still has that southern rock feel to it, but not so bluesy I think. This is Clutch, self titled 1995 record.

damn. now I feel obliged to post my favorite Clutch song:
i'm not into the bluesy stuff as much either, which is where they've been headed for the past few years. i've seen them live and they did a great job of playing old and new. i was very surprised by how good of a guitarist Neil is in additional to being such a great vocalist. all their songs have such great lyrical material too. conspiracies, monsters, etc. the heavier/funk stuff is probably my favorite stuff by them.

I don't know if anyone has ever seen this before but I enjoyed it! Always loved this song by Ice Cube and the detective work to narrow down the day in question was brilliantly pointless and equally awesome. I was going to post a song link as well, but I realized the site has the song already queued up!

one of the dudes in this band wrote some of the background music for the sh*tastic film Old School and both guitarists directed Last Days Here (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1723126/) the documentary about Bobby Liebling of the proto-doom band Pentagram.
