I'd imagine using the original logo even if its slightly different would be treading on thin ice, I mean they got onto the custom ogre king that was done a while back pretty quickly and wanted that removed or face the consequences etc. I know personally myself I don't go in for trying to get packaging much for figures, so them in a sealable bag would be just fine for me haha.

If the finished figures are going to cost $$$$'s whats the impact of this artwork into it as that won't be cheap I'd imagine? whats it going to add onto the current cost?

I fully agree. Yes, I understand many collectors love to have the packaged figures on display, and I think the artwork so far looks amazing, but if this package artwork means that the final figure price is going to be bumped up then I'd be more than happy to get them in a clear bag. Personally, any of the missing figures I buy will be on display and not sealed away. I also agree with die that using the original logo in any small way is going to be risking it.

Hey Fede,
You're doing great with these so far buddy!
That Sciapod artwork makes me want battle cards for these figures now, with their own point systems... *drool*
That would be the icing on the cake.

Thanks for the follow up to what I posted burty. I know a lot of collectors don't like to fork out tons and tons for figures. That and not everyone has vast amounts they can put into collecting so would be interested to see some idea of costs again. Have to agree the art does look pretty good though:)

Hi,
thanks all.
With this exclusive line I believe could be better to go with a name that contains not
"Monsters" but instead "Creatures". We have no trouble with copyrights!! ;)
For example I'm seriously thinking to go with
"The rise of lost Creatures" or "The Revenge of Missing Souls" or "The Legend of sixteen thrown" the last one has the acronym that's "L.O.S.T."
A more complex idea could be: "The legend of sixteen thrown Creatures" that can also become
"The L.O.S.T. Creatures"
Anyway, talking about the possible rising up on the price there are no problems for anyone wants to grab easy a set because I've decided to make special and standard sets as the creators of OMFG! have done.
Therefore it will be possible for anyone to choose which kind of package is good for himself or herself.
I'm planning to make a special limited edition pack with: plastic blister, Cardboard with artworks printed on, collection cards (one for each figure) and maybe some stickers, too...
The figures will be produced in solid single colour but the set will have different colours inside that I'll choose later, may be 2 figures for each one, so 8 total colours.
What do you think about it??...
It's sure will be available also a standard edition, that will be av. in a different single colour.
The Collectible cards will feature a new and attractive modern design that I've commissioned to my friend who is a well established artist in Italy.
It will be a great success, I am sure!
Here you have the link of his blog if you wanna take a look later:
frame72.blogspot.com/
Just to explain in a few words, the sketch he has made yesterday with an incomplete Sciapod in alternative pose it's a work made in around 15 minutes with an artistic tablet computer... :shok:
Let me know your opinion. :whoops:

I think it's great that you're going to offer 'options' to suit all collectors Fede! I also look forward to hearing more on the colours you plan to use, but more importantly can't wait to see how some of the sculpts are coming along. Any ideas when we might see some Fede? The L.O.S.T name idea is one I think we all could further explore too.

"The L.O.S.T. Creatures" is pretty good there Fede! I see this Project/Line is not only working like a gap filler for the missing Series 3`s but more like a whole New one!

I agree, may be colors "premium" and colors "standard." If are 4 standard colors, at an affordable price is sure to be a success in sales.

"Revenge of the 16 lost creatures"

Any title with the word "lost" and/or "Revenge" is nice for me.

I like :)

There wouldn't be any issues using the word "Monster" so long as you don't follow it with the words "in my pocket".

Even better, use the same number of syllables to give it a similar cadence, eg "Monsters of the Lost Tribe", "Monsters from the Lost Land" etc

I agree with Stront on the syllable count to make the new range cohesive with the old. 'Monsters of the Lost...' or 'Monsters of the Forgotten...' etc. I'm trying to think of other synonyms for 'lost' but my minds gone blank ha!

So what are the numbers of the batch productions at this point?
For the standard sets and the special sets?

Plus I am interested what is planned price of each set?

Interesting name suggestions. I agree it would be nice to
incorporate Monster or Monsters in some way... Some thoughts:

Fifteen Forgotten Monsters or 15 Forgotten Monsters
Those Lost in the Pocket
Missing Monsters
Have you seen the Monsters?
Monsters from the Land Forgotten
The Missing Links

What are the official number of figures created as the topic
says 15 but now you say 16... Plus the initial missing figures
you said 82 to 96 That is only 14 figures!? (sorry I have been
out of the bubble).

I don't like the idea of trying to attach a random, made up theme or mythos to these figures. They are simply Monsters in my Pocket after all, granted we can't use that name, of course.

I'd prefer 'Monster/Monsters' to be prominent in the title but i'd also like to suggest, 'Missing from my Pocket' as a good idea, perhaps using as close to the original font & layout of the logo as you can get away with.

Hi guys!
we are still thinking about the name... Maybe it'll be something like:
"The legend of lost Monsters"
Here there is a picture that show you a sketch of the future packaging
Which figures do you prefer in each red space?
Please write them in order from the left to right.
I hope you enjoy the chance you have to choose their order...

Packaging displays all the monsters in the line on header card?
Perhaps it should be on a checklist inside with information
about each Monster? Just a thought but could add to costs...

I presumed after choosing the name you would just create
a strong logo, which would be the basis for the design of
the header card.

If you were to show all the Monsters I guess it would make
sense just to keep them in numerical order.

Oh and I like the suggestion:
The Monsters Time Forgot

I like 'Missing from my Pocket'

Eric, I like this idea but "my pocket" may cause trouble on the front of copyrights...
Remember that the line has always a name before (for ex. Farm, Pony, Kitty, etc...) and then "in my pocket".
It's too similar... We cannot go with that..
Daz we had the idea to print all the 16 Monsters but it is not important that they are in order. The drawings will be single and will be used on the collecting cards and merged together on the front artwork.
Then I thought to make a separated section to put Bash Tchelik separeted from the other 15 with maybe a writing "BONUS" on the top with explosion effect around...
What do you think??
An update sketch below
