In all seriousness, how feasible would it be, for DST to produce rounded leg parts/, similar to the arm parts, for the line? And/or a rounded torso? I think aesthetically, it would help ease a lot of the consternation that the purists that are stand-offish about the line being just another branch of mates.
While we do create new parts as needed (Vorin's lower legs, for instance), and hide the base body entirely sometimes, there is an aesthetic we carry through all of the Minimates lines. It's like Kubricks in that respect. Or Qees. We could create an entirely new base body that might service the bulk of the line, but would they be Minimates? Do they have to be? Some people would say no, but it is a brand we've established over the course of the past decade, and one we plan to continue. So I don't see that changing. But I really think that with the painted pieces, the shapes of each body part will be subservient to the paint apps ands sculpted details.
