Two!  Two new dinosaurs!

#1. Bullyland Velociraptor.  Not perfect, but CLOSER to being an "accurate" Velociraptor.  They were small and very feathery.  This guy's teeth shouldn't be so prominent.
Velociraptor.png

Velociraptor-Pet.png
The Prometheus Engineer is the only humanoid figure I have in (more or less) the correct scale for this, though the raptor is again a little bigger than he would be in real life.  VELOCIRAPTOR LAP PET!

#2. CollectA Cryolophosaurus

Cryolophosaurus.png
Yes, I know that the antarctic was tropical when this dinosaur lived, but its color scheme demanded a snowy background.  Unfortunately, my terrain piece has a LOT of those pegs, and I could not find an angle without any.  So one will have to do.
Cryolophosaurus-Face.png
Well, my only CollectA pieces prior to this were their Cyclops and Cerberus, so it's nice to see the dinosaur.  Cryolophosaurus has trouble standing, but I really like him.

Two!  Two new dinosaurs!

Just thought you should know that your dino reviews sparked a need in me to get some of my own, which led to having Papo and Schleich dinos in all of my houseplants at home. (one of the larger ones has a pack of raptors  ;) )

Overall I think I have to give the realism medal to Papo; comparatively the details looks noticeably better than Schleich or Safari ltd. from what I've seen. Can't say I'm familiar with Bullyland or CollectA, where do you come across those?

Pretty much just Amazon.

Pap's realism is AMAZING, but they often get details wrong.  Safari seems to overall be the most accurate, just not as well-sculpted as Papo.

Your feathered 'raptor reminds me a bit of the Walking With Dinosaurs electronic Troodon I got from Home Bargains the other day, for the princely sum of £1.99 :)

troodon_walking_with_dinosaurs_3d_figure

(image not mine)

Troodon and Velociraptor were both theropod dinosaurs (as are modern birds), so somewhat related, of course.

In fact, they are all even more closely related than I thought, according to the WWD site:

Troodontids are closely related to the dromaeosaurids, the group that includes Velociraptor. Together, members of the troodontid + dromaeosaurid group are the closest cousins to birds among all theropods.

I emailed that guy about the BB since he mentioned them in his muscle listing but had no listing for the beasts. He said he had just sold them all a few hours earlier. Cool to see them here and know who got them. Nice score!

I'm just all around completely jelly of that lot. A bunch of really nice minicons AND all of those BBs and LBs?

I don't even want to know what you paid, lest it make me sad beyond my wildest dreams.

Seriously though: Incredibly great find!

yeah in the listing he said he had battle beats also. and if anyone was interested to let him know, so i emailed him. he sent me a picture, and i asked How much for ALL of them. he told me, and i said that sounds fair. and paid him. and when i got the package. he sent all the muscles, and transformers too. so if anyone was bidding on them im sorry about that.

and i didn't even see the lazes in the pic.

  It was a good day..

So far Ive helped two other members finish there flesh sets.

I haven't really looked into the transformers. but they appear to be in great shape. with there stickers and rubs. . i remember only having the ufo guy as a kid. but its weird how one little toy can bring back so many memory's .

Also from CollectA, I got the Irritator.

Irritator.png

Yes, that is a real dinosaur.  It is from South America, and kind of like a smaller Spinosaurus, though it is more likely that its back spines formed a hump rather than a sail.  It is so named because the first person to find its fossils built them up with plaster to make them look "cooler," and it was extremely annoying for real paleontologists to restore.

I really, really really hope that in real life, it made really annoying noises.  Like a loud honk or something.

Claw from a sweet trade with ironmask along with an awesome batch of customs to replace a lost contest package.
Attached File  ironcustoms (Small).jpg   48.93K   63 downloads

Also got the Aliens facehugger launcher from TRU.com and a set of 12 Pocket Bogies from ebay for $9.50 shipped.

Attached File  bogiesfacehugger (Small).jpg   45.38K   66 downloads

Pocket Bogies have the coolest stand on their own or stackable packages I've seen for mini figures. The figures feel like firm PVC and the paint is nice on all of them.
