I was thinkin if Neptune and Mamath upsurp the main villian role in this arc wont this be the second tag arc he has done that in?

Well, suprisingly, I kind of agree with Matto on the point that Mantaro is more likable in the anime.

Whenever one of the characters gets me ticked off with thier behavior going overboard (Mantaro being an uber coward/jerk, Terry going into 'I'm not like my dad' mode at the worst possible times), I remind myself that, despite thier physical appearance, they're still TEENAGERS.

I will never accept them as teenagers.

If they were sixteen at the start of the series, it would've been more acceptable.

Ironically, the ages are never mentioned in the anime AT ALL. Dub, nor raws.

His age was never mentioned in this arc. but it's said in the throne Arc, Meat was 12 years old before he was cyrogenically frozen. At the beginning I think he was 9 years old.

If I don't think of him as in his mid 20's when he's training Suguru, the whole manga becomes really, REALLY, REALLY creepy.

So he's near his 30's, at the very least (in my mind).

Meh, well... I still like Mantarou, flaws and all. In fact, the flaws are part of why I like him, like with his father. Flaws make a character more interesting, but too many flaws makes a character ineffective.... Umm, it's late, I have a headache, and I forgot where I was going with this (a shame, too, I hade a good point)...
