Well, as for me, I kinda have a love-hate relationship with yaoi and its fangirls. There are a few that produce a lot of fan art and fanfiction that I admit is very good, and some of the older fans are very cool.

Then there are the underaged fans that like to beat me up with yaoi paddles at conventions. They usually take my attempts at tolerating their presence as a sign of friendship and will sometimes let me look at their fan art and fanfiction. Some of them are really good, but most of them wish I had jetted for my hotel room sooner. I don't allow myself to critique their works anymore, because I was called an ignorant homophobe the last time.

As for Terryman...I have no clue. I was thinking that was Thunder and Lightning using magical time powers again.

Like in my one fic, the two main heroines who had grown close and actually admitted they loved each other a ways earlier remarked they're not even twenty and aren't sure where this road is going to lead.

Seriously? Yuri isn't as widespread as Yaoi (I sometimes drabble in Shoujo-Ai), hence why we do not have enough Rinko/Keiko fansites.

Well, she only said that because I said her work sucked and that she should honestly think about redoing it. I personally have nothing against homosexuals and I do like to collect doujinshi when I go to conventions.

And no, I'm 90% sure that wasn't Terryman 'dying', but something like a hologram T&L were using to figure out thier match stratgedy.


Aelia: Exactly. There's the good fans and the bad ones (and the atshizznit crazy ones). If I were in your shoes at that time, I'd probably focus more and the aesthetics of the art/fic more than the pairing; I LOVE it when people who dislike the pairing of my work still compliment the look of it. Those are my favorite comments.

And if you think the art/fic stinks? Constructive criticism. (I hope you didn't actually say 'this sucks' outright. XD;


Matto: I think Yuri and Yaoi seem to have thier own 'turf' in fandom. Unfortunately, Yuri does get the short end of the stick very often; most of the Yuri art I've seen out there is all-out porn/hentai/whatever, while Yaoi gets more of the actual character development (...and it's own fair share of porn). It's really only in girl character-centric animes that I see good Yuri-Fic (Sailor Moon and Slayers come to mind)

ANYWAY, moving on. (did I start this downhill slope to OT-ness? I hope not. D:)

Chibibee: Well, I tried to be as nice as I could possibly be with her. Unfortunately, I started my sentence with "I don't really like it." and she seemed to miss the part where I explained why. It was mostly because of the the fact that her spelling was atrocious and the couple she was trying to portray was out of character. I believe it was a Naruto fanfic as well, which made me not want to read it even more. My point is that she overreacted to what I was trying to tell her.

And yes, we are off topic. It's my fault because I'm as good at derailing threads as Neptuneman and Mammothman are at derailing trains.

It's because of the idiotic fans I ran into that made me hate yaoi forever.. not to mention it's practically everywhere I look anymore. It's the fangirls like you that I've come to respect because you don't force it down my throat and it's not all you talk about (thank God *hugs you for that*)

And ah. Because I saw Terryman in an illegal yoga position with blood spraying from his chest so it made me jump to the death-victim conclusion. ^^;
