I dunno...I would want to see a close up of the bottom of the feet. He looks a little orange in color...could be a custom of mine. If you get photos, send the close ups to me or post them here and I will verify it's authenticity.

Good Luck!

I hope you can score it for a good price IF it is real.

More information would help, but I get why you're not sharing more.

Based on the fact that you found it on a non-MUSCLE site makes it seem legit, plus the picture is pretty good.

There are just two things that would cause me to doubt it
1. Did you find it on a toy board that could know about the value?
2. It is placed centered, but not in the forefront of the figures. It looks "accidentally" placed in a position of prominence.

Of course, if they guy takes $20 bucks for it – then there's a really good chance it is legit and he has no clue.

EDIT - If this does turn out to be legit, then it's going to be pretty hard to consider this a Super Rare. Currently there are color figures harder to find than this guy. ;)

it's all the information i have
i guess he could know about it, but it was posted in a "hey look what i have... this brings back memories" kind of way

when i first asked about it he said:

If I can remember that long ago... he wasn't anything special. Just came in a regular MUSCLE 4 pack. He was a bit different though in that the head is removable and turns to reveal 3 different faces. One o' my favorites.

i messaged him again asking if he would be willing to sell it and he said:

Sorry.
I really am pretty fond of that particular character. And, just rediscovering these guys, it's almost like he's new.

i messaged him again to ask if it is the same plastic as the other figures, or if it is softer like an eraser

I bet if he learned what he could get for it (if it is legit)...his feelings of nostalgia might fade pretty quickly. ;)

maybe "he who shall not be named" has found a new forum to haunt and is fishing for bids. if so, this one, of his possible many, may have already been counted. :)

the latest

He's a MUSCLE for sure. Not hard plastic though. He's the same pinkish, somewhat flexible plastic as all the OG MUSCLEs. Somewhere between hard plastic (like army men) and eraser material, but closer to the hard plastic side of the scale.

heh i was never out to score it - just keeping the guy's privacy intact while i did detective work. i couldn't afford to pay what it may be worth at all, and i didn't want anyone getting hosed anywhere - both this board and skullbrain are pretty tight knit for the most part

i steered him here, but he has had trouble joining up... messed up links or something

Personally, I have watched that forum ever since you showed me your post there about the sunshine customs I made for ya Apricot.

So I saw that thread and then joined that forum (for the second time I think).

I pm'd him to see if he would post more close up photos from all directions ESPECIALLY the bottom...because my first priority was to make sure it wasn't one of my customs w/ all the shadiness lately here (which his SHA IS 100% real), then I did tell him I would trade for it, but, I didn't offer anything specific (not that I thought he would want to trade it anyway).

I gave him the old estimated value of it along w/ the fact that more and more of these have been surfacing in the last few years (and that might actually be dropping his value a bit), a link to this site, a link to this thread and a link to Nate/Tortle's site.

We ALL know there are guys out there (not naming any names) that will try to seriously low-ball him to snag it under the radar. I know Apricot isn't like that though. He is a stand up guy. Everyone likes to get a good deal, however, something like this and on 2 forums like this (w/ a vast majority of good/honest members) isn't like an Ebay score or Flea Market.

I wasn't trying to step on any toes, just possibly bringing a new member to the forum and possibly get this SHA and his entire collection shown clearly in photos (who knows what other RARE COLOR or SR he might own)...along w/ any info he has about his muscles collection for our members here trying to solve the mysteries of SRs...and IF he chooses to sell or trade it here, into one of our member's collections!!!

Gah. Skullbrain never let me register to their forums at all for some bizarre reason, but that was no big deal... until I see that this guy has of all things the last non-rare version of Ammonite that I need, in orange. If someone over there gets in touch with him and he is interested at all in trading, I'd give him plenty of other colored or flesh MUSCLE figures in return.

Funny thing...it took forever for the administrator to approve me to their forum...then I changed my email contact and it suspended my account until approval, which took a couple of days as well. Then I read in that guy's last post, he is having trouble joining here (which I don't understand).

Glad I wasn't the only one with problems getting forum approval there, except that I never received it!
