doesn't look legit at all to me. The glue is very suspicious looking and no weapon has ever broken in half inside the blister.

That being said, cool fake

Fake.
Series logo is digitized, wording on edge diff font and the corners are hand trimmed.
Would have been great to see the series 3 released this way.

Based on ¨all¨ the we know so far about this line there´s no doubt it´s FAKE but you can always hope/wish for something new to show up, right?

In this case though there´s quite a few things that give away that something isn´t as solid as you´d expect it to be as the others mentioned above;

- Suspicious glue

- Broken weapon inside a perfect undamaged bubble...

- Issue with the fond

And on top of that the absence of the item number is a bit weird as well.

All in all it´s clear it´s been an attempt to make something special but it´s definitely not done by HASBRO.

Wonder what the backside looks like, any chance you´ve pics of that?

I remember our netherland collector friends had a kind of convention, and used to create some new exclusive items for the convention, things that don't exist, like japanese 2 pack. Can this come from them ?

True, but they always created them in such a way they´re clearly distinct but inspired by the original packaging type.

They indeed did a Japanese 2 pack which looked like two merged single boxes and they made a special packaging (single card style) promoting Sunburst Beasts (applied with a repro Sunburst rubsign). This creation is not from them because it´d have been made with a much more obvious twist and I know the person who´s been responsible for the other creations is not very active or even around anymore.

It´s probably a home made item made by a fellow Beast fan, or someone who´s been trying to trick us...

i think about a year or year & a half there was  a seller on ebay that had repo cardbacks with plastic blisters.they were very nice looking quality from the pics i saw.but u could put any figures u wanted inside them. seal them up or just display it as a partial MOC item with the cardback and bubble .so perhaps it was one of those and the person created his own 2-pack.

its a very delicate pain in the butt process. but a very very fine line of glue is best to reseal the packages.and dont squish or press hard with ur fat fingers and the glue wont spread too crazy.when dealing with repairs less is always better.usually only get one shot to get it right

i also own a few of the Single Box 2-packs they referred to.they are from the Dutch/Netherlands Transformers Con 2011 & 2013 i believe.they were custom made to be given away at the show.their weren't too many made and they are numbered on the bottoms.they are constructed very well and if someone didn't know better,they would think Hasbro produced them this way.they are actually some of my favorite battle beasts items.they also created some single carded beasts in Japanese Transformers style MOC cardbacks in 2012.i do not yet own any of those though.but if anyone does and wants to sell look me up : )

Thanks for adding the pics Catbeast, this helps the topic.

Here´s another shot of the single packed Sunburst card they created;

As far as I know they haven´t been producing/releasing any other packaging types or whatever after those two anymore.

They´re quite stylish done indeed but due to that it´s also sometimes mistaken for the real deal which is not the case it´s just ¨fan-art¨
