nah not really dude. i saw 4 boxed beasts and i bought 2 of them then there was like 5 loose series 1s in another shop weaponless then one LB also weaponless in shibuya.
there was two battle beast vehicles in Akihabara though both the same boxed.

Sweet.I wanna go to japan next year.Is it easy navigating around japan without knowing any Japanese?

For the most part, though you shouldn't expect anyone to speak or understand English very well at all.
Super useful Japanese phrase: "Sumimasen". <sue-me-ma-sin>
Basically means "I'm sorry" but can be used in many situations to avoid embarrassing yourself too much

Awesome, did you get any photos of the transformers for sale? When I visited japan back in 2011 I sent three boxes of transformers back home, that was additional to the stuff I carried on the plane - at that time I wasn't even considering collecting battle beasts so I just passed them by. I regret it now!

You could literally spend hours in Mandarake stores by far the best toy shops in Tokyo I found some of the others to be rubbish.

Yeah I agree, at least with respect to vintage toys. I kind of feel that's the way it is in the US though TBH, if you find anywhere that does have a good stock of vintage stuff it's usually at least at eBay price.
I did find a nice gachapon/trade figure store in Kyoto once though, got some nice Ranma 1/2 and Evangelion stuff from the late 90's for a decent enough price
