Hey back when i was a little Philly Madison I traded 10 MUSCLEs for one of these (the blue Ninja with the nun-cuck)

I recentlly won an awsome lot on ebay which had some Flesh MUSCLEs (i didnt need lol) some colored MUSCLEs i did need and 12 of these Ninjas that go with the ninja i did the trade with back in the day (plus four other smaller bootlegs)

Anyway does anybody know if these are just some bootleg Ninjas or are they really some line of figures

Im guessing bootlegs but there awsome

here is the info under there feet

Soma china 1986 and there is a little hole for like a stand or something

heres a pic of the lot

Christ on a bike! I remember those! They came in capsules and could be purchased from machines at McCrory's (and possibly some other major stores at the time) for about 25 cents. Ah, to be 5 again... ::nostalgia:: Don't remember what they were called though. 'Wrestle' or 'Wrestling' something... That's all I've got. Sorry.

I believe them to be "Soma" ninjas, there were also "Soma" wrestlers. Here is an auction:

http://cgi.ebay.com/...80&category=348

The other odd monster guys with the little boy with an eye patch is "No Kataro." I have several muscle size, same plastic as muscles, and almost flesh (a little more tan or beige in color). I would like to trade you a custom for the "No Kataro" figures if you would want to? No big deal if not. However, I have a brand new G1 Muscle mold that I cast today that no one has seen yet! He! He! If you were into trading with me, you could be the first to own one! Even before Johnny gets his for the custom contest! He! He! Just say the word!

I dont remember seeing the wrestleing ones, but I do remember the ninja ones. I had a great time with them when I was a kid, I even still have them in the basement. My favorite one would of had to been the blue ninja with the nunchucks<sp?>.

Wraith,
Thanks for that link, I knew I had seen them all somewhere. It looks like his info is slightly wrong though. That auction shows some colors that aren't shown in his original 12. So there must be 12+ with color variations, but, only the 6 sculpts.

By the way Phil, I am only interested in the 4 No Kataro figures, not the ninja Soma guys. Just let me know when you change your mind. He! He!

Those are similar, however, the original Soma figures came out way before the city warriors. The city warriors are knock off street fighters and might have even been made by Soma, but, way later. They are for sure the same style though.

Yeah, I didn't see Soma anywhere on the City Warriors, and I don't think it's on the pack of wrestlers my brother has. These are possibly the most ripped-off toys of all time, because in their prime I remember them being in all sorts of packaging and colors but the same molds. I had no idea until this thread that they even had an original line of these, I assumed they were all generic. I always liked them though.

I have a few soma figures too. I bought them shortly after starting to collect muscles. They looked kinda neat so I got bid on them.
