For what it's worth, I've got the yellow sculpt in a dark green colorway.

Hmph, mine is the same green as the second one pictured above. And the sculpt style does appear to be the same. They do appear to be Blackstar figures. Can anyone id the characters? I'll take a highres pic of mine when I get a chance.

Also, mine has Hong Kong TMs on the back, so mine at least is likely a boot. I wonder what the original line looks like?

Here's an Italian site that covers Blackstar extensively. (It's pretty hard to navigate.) It mentions a minifigure toy line called "Blackstar 12 Fantasy Figures."

I think I see the sculpt I have in orange. You can just make out his wings there in the bag.

Yes, I wonder if ours are bootlegs, and Eric Nilla's is an original figure? The one I have is smaller than the one Eric has, about the size of a MUSCLE; not taller.

Would you guys then conclude that the short ones with only Hong Kong are bootlegs then?

What is Space Ace? Is it related to the Blackstar 12 Fantasy Figures pictured above? Are they all the same sculpts, with one set just being smaller?

Also, I have that same green, small figure, but mine is not made of a soft material.

Space Ace was a video game made by Don Bluth studios, which also made Dragon's Lair. It is completely unrelated to Blackstar, which was a cartoon made by Filmation. both toys share a release date of 1984, although the Space Ace figure is unmarked. the characters and molds used for both sets of figures is completely different, although i can understand why they are confused. The Blackstar mini-figure set features 6 villains from the series; Overlord, Kadray, Palace Guard, Neptul, Tongo, and Gargo. I don't know if the Space Ace figures have names, but i don't think they do. here's a picture of the Space Ace toys on card, although it is NOT mine:

What is Space Ace?

???
What, you don't know what Space Ace is? What about Dragon's Lair?
Those were the biggest breakthrough arcade games out when we were kids. Imagine a video game that had "cartoon graphics" when the latest greatest was Gauntlet and SMB.

I see muckmonster, thanks! We had thought that the winged figure in the following pic was the same as the little green Space Ace figure featured in this thread. I see now that this isn't the case. Thanks!

@jkaris I know Dragon's Lair well, but no, I'd never heard of Space Ace. Looks cool and very modern actually.
