Would you still collect if they weren't blind bagged?

This couldn't really fit in a single forum, so I'm putting it here:
Would you collect Slug Zombies?
Would you collect Lego minifigs?
Would you collect Trash Pack?
Etc.
Would you still buy them if you always knew what you were getting? How important is the blind bag element to you?

Ultimately, I prefer them not to be blindbagged, but I understand that it makes companies more money, and thus helps.

All that being said, I am excited to get my blind box Beast Saga in the mail hopefully any day now. Possibly the first time I've ever been excited about a blind box.

If your a completist its fun hunting down every figure but the down side is spending more money and getting tons of doubles to unload. If theres a full set available. I'll take the full set anytime. Lets say there was no full set. If you got some patiences like an old grasshopper. Wait til someone sell there full set and save big.
I got that chop saw....

Ultimately, if a toy line is cool, and I have the money to throw at it, I'll collect it whether I can see them or not.

I don't like the frustration of single packed blind figures, nor do I really care for the SLUG method, where all you have to do is buy the assigned sets and then *poof* you're done with the line.

SLUGs - I don't consider them blind bagged. Even the mystery coffins were easy to peek into. I'm cool with how you know what you need to get to complete a set. Series 4 is the best with only forcing two doubles on you. I think it's obvious they would sell more if they were random like MUSCLE though, and they are figures I wouldn't mind having doubles of. I wish I didn't sell the doubles of series 1-3 that I had before. So yeah, I just contradicted myself.Would you collect Slug Zombies?
Would you collect Lego minifigs?
Would you collect Trash Pack?
Etc.

Lego/Halo/Playmobil/Power Rangers/Fighter Pods - I'd rather know for sure I'm getting the ones my kids want, but I don't think they would be drawn to the same figures if they were individually carded or in clear bags and you could see what you are getting. The feeling of "winning" when you get what you want in a blind bag is part of the draw, but it sucks when you get triples in the first handful of packs.
Trash Pack - We bought a lot of series 2 before ever getting triples of figures, and it was part of the reason we kept buying. Series 3 we started getting triples within the first few 12-packs, and it seems like there are fewer different visible figures in the packs than in series 2, so we've cut down on buying these. Even my 3 year-old doesn't ask for a pack with a figure showing that he already has.
I think Predasaurs and Virus Attack are a couple blind bag lines where there isn't duplicates within the same box. I think that's the way to do it. Definitely cuts down on the disappointment of getting duplicates quickly if you buy a bunch from the same box.

My stance is that I don't prefer Blind Bags, but don't hate them either. The surprise can be fun, and anticipation is a part of the process. The whole idea of experiencing multiple emotions like anticipation, disappointment, or joy is a very Japanese mindset. This explains why the concept took off there way before it ever migrated West.
But, figures like OMFG or Muscle 5 packs are much more appealing to me in the long run to avoid doubles and get as many new figs as possible.

I hate the idea of blind bags, but at the same time I love being able to cheat the system and only get the figs I want. I use "the feel technique" with LEGO, PLaymobil, and Hotwheels blind bags and I'm quite good at feeling out the figure I want. I also utilize codes for the Mattel Minecraft and Imaginext figures. So, the nice thing about the blind bags is those that haven't mastered the feel technique and don't know about the codes can't clear the shelves of all the coolest figures. The more sought after figures usually fetch a higher price online, so if you can beat the system you can save some $.

Lego minifigs are fine as you can use the bump codes (or the squeezy test), but I won't touch anything with a wholly random blind bag system - I just don't have anyone to trade with.
It wouldn't be so bad if you were 100% guaranteed a set of XXXX if you bought a whole display box; I don't mind throwing money at a collection if I have an idea of what the total is going to be.
