Always loved the classic design of the monster from corpus. I've been debating on getting into the mighty max scene, and have considered going for the zombie themed sets, because well, zombies. But damn do your pics make it all that more tempting.

Can't get over the fact I found this guy at a yard sale today for $1.

I never thought I'd get to own one, and here we are. Patience pays, folks.

I don't even LIKE the NECA Pacific Rim line but I'd buy a $1 Leatherback in an instant.

I actually got some stuff lately that didn't consist of cardboard that's worth showing off here! First things first, nothing quite feels as good as completing a collection of figures. After the line being around for years, I finally finished my collection of US Gormiti Series 1 variants! These figures are entirely unique to the US line because they don't (for some odd reason) actually have working color gimmicks like Series 2 or Final Evolution figures do. Well, I'm finally all done! This was especially scary because I won Insecticus and thought I was done, only to realize I couldn't find the Hideoutfinder I totally swore I'd owned before. Thankfully ToyWiz of all places had the two-pack so I finished that off. I have to wash off some of my figures as the paint's gone tacky for some reason but after that's done I'll open up the last packs. The hard part now will be the Series 1 Lords that only came with the action figure Lords, which are also unique figures.

Next up are two sets I'm incredibly excited to pick up, don't let their MISB status fool you. I love playing Destiny, I love the amount of care the Mega Bloks/Construx line has shown to the game series, and the Cabal minifigures are fantastic. So finally having them in-hand after months of not finding these sets is such a joy! Cannot wait to rip them open later.

Finally, over Easter week, Dollar General was promoting Yo-Kai Watch Medal Moments as their deal of the week. Because nothing quite says Easter like Japanese spirit monsters with collectable medals for a buck each. They only seem to stock the first two waves of them, and since I already owned Noko and Tattletell I bought one of each other available. Could've probably passed on the Jibanyan, there's a multipack I need with one, but this could go to my nephew later or something. For anyone in the US interested, they're still available depending on your local stock.

(Pics are coming, they're taking forever to end up on my computer for some reason.)

I found those Yokai Watch figures at Dollar Tree near me, and picked up one of each, but a few of jibanyan and robonyan (jibanyan black and goldenyan customs incoming)

Can't beat it, for a buck. The hasbro online shop has series three, end eBay scalpels have what appears to be series 4.

80s toy convention today in Toronto, and one of my buddies invited me to go.

Everything in the picture with the mighty max battle-cat was grabbed there. Found a lot of MUSCLES, but they were all overpriced. Surprisingly saw some Beast Saga there for $5 a pop, but didn't really want any.

I've been after the beast wars micro verse stuff for ages, so that was a happy find. (Even if it's missing damn near every piece.)

Grabbed Gobots Fangs there too. I've been trying to complete Monsterous on the cheap for over a year. Only need the other leg now!

The blue shape-shifting Lizard is neat. I had him in his usual colours as a kid. If anyone knows anything about this variant I am all ears. He is missing his horn in gator mode, so hit me up if anyone has one! (Doubt it!) Found him a few weeks ago but forgot about him until now.

Finally own a lipstick godzilla! He was in a thrift store grab bag of large dinosaurs for $3.

Can't beat it, for a buck. The hasbro online shop has series three, end eBay scalpels have what appears to be series 4.

The first Dollar General where I found them, every Robonyan was gone, and the Komasans, Komajiros, and Jibanyans were notably lower in stock, probably for similar reasons of people hording them. Thankfully, happened to run into a second with several Robonyans to complete the waves.

Based on the case assortments I looked up, Series 1 Medal Moments go up to five waves (then they reset everything for the Yokai Watch 2 style of medals). And yeah, I noticed a lot of resellers with figures like Hungramps, but I was pleased to see they're not being scalped very hard, like $6.99 is common for a lot of those. Gonna get on those in the near future, plus stuff like the boxed sets with exclusive Togenyan or Pandanoko.

Here's the pics, finally:

The other Robonyan has a closed chest hatch, obviously with no arm attachment, and comes with the eye beams Robonyan medal.

Ooooh, I see. Nah, didn't know about that version, but I like it. Was it actually released? EDIT: Yup! Not too expensive on eBay either. It's curious that the Paws of Fury Jibanyan figure is the one that got reused for Yokai Watch 2 but the old Robonyan was instead of that variant.

ALSO EDIT: Draz, I see you are totally in a kaiju mood with these pickups. Even I don't own any Imperial Godzillas. Nice.
