I want to collect these since they are an old childhood favorite but I can not find any information on checklists and what not. Every checklist I find seems to be incomplete. Any Zbot collectors can help me out? :) Any information on whats rare and what not would be greatly appreciated.

I just gave away a few of these.

I've got a large bag of them around here, somewhere, though.

The good news for you, dude, is that they are cheap to collect.  (for the most part, other than a few line rarities.)

I've sold lots on Ebay, and never seem to get more than a buck or two per figure.   Get 'em before the Millennials hit their 30s and the Z-Bots achieve 'high dollar collectible' status!

:p

Yeah I was thinking that too lol I need to get all these asap so that I dont have to worry about paying $5-$10 each. I had about 30 of them but I sold those a few months ago. Luckily I apparently missed four of them. Now my collection starts with four lol

They sell pretty cheap on eBay UK. My collection went years ago, but I did use Zbot parts on this Vor custom I did way back:

Thanks for the tips guys! I am looking forward to getting more of these :) I had a ton of them as a kid and of course they were tossed. Since my Monster Rancher collecting is at a dead hault, why not get tiny robots? lol

So far I am digging up information and I see the following:

Z Bots - the usual brand

Mini Zbots-

Mini Action Team - Zbots bootlegs (origins unknown? Seem to be Europe bootlegs)

There also appears to be foreign color variants according to Zbots Collector's facebook page.

I am waiting on a confirmation on how many exist for Zbots and what the other bootlegs or variants are called.

I found a checklist website but I am unsure how complete it is: http://m2museum.com/Zbots/Zbots.htm

So Mini Action Team is one name of the Bootleg Z Bots

Heres all mine from that line I think this is the complete set. They all came in a cardboard box that If i remember correctly had star wars knock off artwor Sadly I do not remember the name of the series.. You could also get these figures packed with a Star wars Figure pose able sized Robot. The one with the Mace Arm was a larger figure in this line they was rather poor quality figures and just said china on them. The three legged one was also a larger figure in this line.

Knock offs of The Mini Z's also exist though they use the same mold and size as the originals though the playsets they came in was original (bootleg?) ones I still have a submarine one that is very hard to get open.

A Z Bots inspired toy line came out in 2010 in US and UK (not sure if rest if Europe) called Androidz. Though these had die cast metal bodies and possable plastic arms. They failed to sell every where and ended up in the discount toys stores. They had a few colour variants figures that came with Playsets and Vehicles and was mostly sold in single and two packs. You can get a entire set without getting Duplicates since single packs came with different figures than 2 packs.

While Androidz did go to clearance at TRU in the US, as far as I know, they did not come to any discount stores.  TRU also did not support single packs, only 2-packs and 4 or 5 playsets. I thought they were a cool toyline and I would have loved to see single packs somewhere!  They are like drab-colored Z-bots.  You know of a master checklist anywhere?  I might have to get back into these.

Edit: Just looked at ebay UK and the single packs look brills -- looks like you get a collector's card with them too!

Hey, Acid -- any chance you collect Zibits?  I'm looking for the last three from series 1.5 which did not come to the US.  I have some extras from series 1, 2, and 3 that I could trade.

I do not have any Zibits im afraid.

As for androidz TRU was pretty much the only store i ever saw them sold here and even when at discount  they cost more there. I only ever saw Playsets,1 figure sets with vehicles and single packs there. It was'nt until discount stores like Home Bargains got two packs in I knew it was only way to get all the figures the figure leaflet does not say how to.

Sorta related but another mini figure robot based line was Bin Weevils bin bots. They only lasted 2 series and was only sold in blind bags im guessing these was UK only as well like most of the Moshi Monsters moshlings toy line was which has ended after 12 main series sets not including variant repaint sets.

Nope.  No Bin Weevils here.  They were one of the main toylines I was hoping to gain access to by joining this community. (Those and Construct-a-Bugz.) We had Moshi Monsters series 1 and 2 only.  And our Series 1 and 2 combined equaled your Series 1.  It is a shame and somewhat baffling that they did not continue here.

I could be mistaken or perhaps they are just regular figures that connect together but I vaguely remember some that interlocked to make larger bots.

Yes they are called link bots or micro bots. I think it may be another sub-series. Or the same as the mini series?

Construct a Bugz was a huge commercial flop you could get the entire line shown (sorry about blurry quality)in this picture for under £30 so like $40ish when they hit clearance stores.

Bin Weevils can be found really cheap here the Actual Bin Weevils figure 4 packs (They is 2) Ive seen selling for £1 new in some places a while back. The blind bag only bin bot figures are harder to find.

Here's a pretty good lot of various ZBOTS and the smaller versions on ebay (though overpriced I'm sure, unless you can make the right offer):

http://www.ebay.com/...=item1ea0a20bde

There are several Military Muscle Men and a few Men of Medal and their M.A.F. counterparts in this lot that I'm sure you could sell and recoup some of your money or use as other trade fodder. I had made the dude an offer of $80 but he didn't accept.

Hey guys. If anyone wants to trade zbots for zbots hit me up. I got about 30+ doubles at the moment and I only got about 1/2 of all the sets. Pretty sure we could work something out. I got series 1, 2, 3 and military zbot doubles so far. Also would trade for minis. Only got two of those lol

Anyone else have any info on the 'mini action team' bootleg Z-bots from this thread?

Would be really interested in figuring out where I can get some.
