Well, I got myself an early christmas present in the form of a camera with a beautiful zoom on it, but I haven't really had the chance to completely test it out.. then I thought of my poster..
So I went up and took pictures of the Beasts that have paint jobs that don't match the toy they represent, and voila :D
http://psy.critter.net/bbart/poster/

The Hawk is in there because I forgot the toy does indeed have that face armor on it x.x, however seeing a custom of the hawk to match the coolness of the drawing would kick some arse XD.
I did have a shot of the panther I'll need to redo.. it turned out bad, but I had included him because in the poster he has the head gear that the toy doesn't have.. thought that might be of interest to someone if it hasn't been done yet.
My poster is not in the best shape, but if anyone has some requests of certain Beasts, feel free to let me know and I'll snap a few more pics :D. The only one I have to say no to is the Carp since he sits on a bunch of very beat up creases >.<;

I plan to get down those French names for Steve tonight ^_^.
And about the weapons, there are a lot of Beasts on the poster that don't have matching weapons to the actual figures o.o

Now that I can actually see the drawings on the poster instead of looking at the tiny pic on the online guide, I can clearly see all the little mistakes I made in my recent repaints! :( Thanks for the great shots. Also, he Crow figure is worth posting due to it's pink leg armor.

Couple more pic added to the .dir: http://psy.critter.net/bbart/poster
black panther
sledgehammer elephant
ossified orangutan
eager beaver
swiny boar
colonel bird
king cobra
deer stalker
danger dog
runamuck duck
rubberneck giraffe
sir sire horse
killer koala
pirate lion
leapin lizard (when I was little, I always thought he was a strange looking cat)
tanglin pangolin
hare raising rabbit
pillaging polar bear
saber sword tiger
ferocious tiger

Glad everyone's liking them ^_^. I can get a shot of the Carp...he's not as bad as I thought, but he looks worse than the boar. My poor poster has been well loved XD
Lol, I didn't even notice the crow's leg armor, JP, and my crow is practically sitting in front of my face XD. Good eye!

14. Sanglier Salopard (might have a typo here.. crease damage obscurred some letters)

"Salopard" means something like "bastitch"... ;)
That's a hard word for children's toys. ;)

24. Belette Bienqueuse (same as 14.)

"Bienqueuse" does not exist. It must be "Belliqueuse" which means something like "Quarrelsome" if google's traduction is good enough. :D

Here's the newest additions, including my beat up Carp picture and the Skunk. I totally didn't notice he was a paint variation either o.o
New: http://psy.critter.net/bbart/poster
fleet footed antelope
gruesome gator
killer carp
crusty crab
gargantuan gorila
miner mole
knight owl
squirrely squirrel
panzer panda
rowdy rooster
diving duckbill
slasher seahorse
cutthroat squid
pew-trid skunk
horny toad
hardtop tortoise

I've saved the ugliest drawings for last (in my opinion) ;) ..the pig, tarsier, etc..

14. Sanglier Salopard (might have a typo here.. crease damage obscurred some letters)

"Salopard" means something like "bastitch"...
That's a hard word for children's toys.

24. Belette Bienqueuse (same as 14.)

"Bienqueuse" does not exist. It must be "Belliqueuse" which means something like "Quarrelsome" if google's traduction is good enough.

I took another look at the french names on the poster.. I'm pretty sure Salopard is right o.o but the crease is right alongside the l .. maybe it could be sahopard? War Weasel's french name is still a little baffling though, but I'll snap a shot of him tonight with his names...it could be belliqueuse, and it makes sense too. Hehe, I was a french immersion student, but those two words were some I never learned XD.

Interesting: The art must be from the same artist, or heavily influenced by the artist who did the UK specials....they even screwed up the Bear and Fox. The Carp is the one that really gives it away though...it is exactly the same, anchor and all.

It's too bad they made the Cobra, one of the coolest figures, look like he's trying not to crap his armor! B)

Thanks for all the work to post these...

Recycled poses make me sad. The one comic(might've been the annual delta81 posted?), there was a scan of it in a thread a while back and the Beasts seemed to be in the same pose each panel, minus a few alterations here and there.
And yet it's kinda funny too XD. Reminds me of repeating backgrounds in cartoons (Flintstones!) and the like.

It's too bad they made the Cobra, one of the coolest figures, look like he's trying not to crap his armor! sad.gif

Some of the poster pics do indeed make some of the cool beasts look like crap, then there's the opposite happening too. I love Harrier Hawk's drawing, but don't care much for the toy B)
Same with the carp (though the toy's growing on me!) When I was little, me and my friend thought the weapon hand idea of the picture was so cool and deemed him to be the 'best' Beast out of the lot XD.

Don't forget Rocky Rhino! biggrin.gif You think he is ugly to?! ohmy.gif

Rocky's cool! Actually, just the pig, tarsier, lizard and mandrill are the ugliest in my mind. ;)
Anyhoo, he'll be in the next batch, providing I don't forget my camera again x.o

[edit] oh yeah, I think it is Belliqueuse after all.. I took another good look at the poster, and the damaged letters do look as though they were "be'lli'..." *edits name post*
