The pens I use to ink with are a Sharpee and a Micron. The shadow background took quite a bit of Sharpee ink to pull off. I was definitely walking funny from the fumes! I hope this artwork is worth the brain cells I sacrificed for it!
So are you going to be doing one for this contest, Kevin?

Yeah, i'd imagine that took some time, that's a crazy smooth black for a Sharpie! The Sharpie/Micron combo tends to be my weapon of choice as well...you want some fumes though, try Prismacolors. That's what i've been using lately, and they all smell like a fine blend of Jack Daniel's and rubbing alcohol!

finally got around to draw something... ended up redrawing a concept i tried before, but didnt like it. this one came out a little better so i went with it.
closer up on torso...
Well played, sir.
What kind of pencils/paper are you using, if you don't mind me asking? Professionally speaking, i'd guess they're powered by some sort of voodoo magic.

actually its just a BIC 0.5 mechanical pencil. nothing fancy. that all i use actually cuz i cant stand drawing without a super sharp pencil. i have a method of smoothing one side of the lead at a .45 angle to shade. which then gives me a super sharp edge.

Yeah, this is pretty much what i figured.
Seriously though, mechanical pencil? WOW. That is some patience. I use mechanical pencils pretty much exclusively too, but mostly because they're easy to erase for inking and coloring purposes. To get something like that out of a mechanical bic is nothing short of astonishing.
